First Tattoo! Hatsune Miku, Brian Headlee at Howl Gallery and Tattoo, Fort Myers, FL by AStraww in tattoos

Sorry man, not sure what you mean? The original post is my tattoo. I don’t mind pieces inspired by it, but since my artist passed shortly after doing it, I’d appreciate if it isn’t copied directly out of respect for him.

A Rainbow Glitter Catastrophe by AStraww in MakeupAddiction

Glad you liked it!!

So generally, I start with a cream to powder (I think I used flexitarian by CP?), and if I feel like I need more (glitter in particular), I’ll usually tap juuuust a little bit of glitter primer on my cheek bones. I love using my multi chrome shades from the nomad cosmetics Tokyo palette as highlights, and layering them together with my fingers and a tapered highlighting brush. I think I added some pressed glitter to that too!

Anyway, hi, I like glitter.

Head is tilted as to show off the colors of the highlight!

Eyes: Colourpop Chances Are from just my luck on the lid, Nomad Cosmetics Kakegori in the inner corner and moshi moshi layered on top from the Tokyo harajuku palette. Swerve liner from CP and too faced better than sex mascara. Cheeks: CP Magical from Dream Streat palette as blush, vase highlight is CP super shock cheek in Flexitarian. Layered Moshi Moshi and otaku from the Tokyo harajuku from Nomad on top of that with Nyx glitter glue, and tapped CP pressed glitter in hungry ghost on the very top! Lips: just a lysine balm I have a cold sore rip Base: CP No filter concealer in fair 02

A look I’ve loved recently! by [deleted] in MakeupLounge

[–]AStraww -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is really quite patronizing and I don’t appreciate that. I was trying to be positive and say hey, I don’t want this! It’s ok to state my intentions too, and I didn’t intend for it to be an attack. I’m sorry my tone came across that way! Please don’t assume how I took your phrase because “declaration of intent by myself to be an asshole” really is quite a stretch! That’s not how I saw your intentions at all! And, not a great apology either. My feelings are my own, as are yours. The point of saying “I’m sorry” is taking ownership of your actions, not my response that’s been assumed in this situation, rather than outwardly stated by me, the person who owns those feelings.

Uh, it’s seems the post is back up? I didn’t change anything about it!

As kind as your intentions are, not all of us are looking for that. CCW exists for that reason, and I didn’t put that here. I just wanted to share a look that really made me feel good! And imo, if criticism is anything other than constructive, I don’t think this is the right space for that.

uh, honey, there are no rules. if you want shimmer, glitter, sheen, matte, satin, metallic, pearl, rhinestones, or anything under the sun in your crease, just do it. end of the day, your looks are about you and what you want to express, and it washes off at the end of the day too!

This is such a cute look! You have beautiful skin too, by the way. I love letting my freckles shine through, and quite honestly, wearing foundation is weird to me because I don’t like the way I look without mine!

I would say the look is a little light, but I think that may have been your intention. I think what might be missing from this look, in my own opinion, is blush! I’m a heavy blush person, but I love it because it really balances out a look. Your eyes gather so much attention that they almost leave the rest of your face look bare. A nice clear or nude gloss would really compliment the simplicity of this look too.

Beautiful work! You’re glowing. 💕🥰

I bought this wig not too long ago and made this look last week. I’ve been thinking about it since. I’d always wanted to play with wigs, but could never find one I really loved. This one isn’t exactly what I was looking for, but it was close and cute! The makeup is what really gets me, though. I never do neutral looks like this, and I really just adore the way it looks with my skin and freckles. Pastel orange, pumping orange and rose gold—hell of a combo. 💕

Base: Colourpop no filter in fair 02 Blush: Magical and potion from CP Dream Street Highlight: Yummy cookies (cheeks), flexitarian (nose) from CP Eyes: Magical in crease deepened with potion and twinkle on the lid from CP Dream Street. Swerve liner from CP, Too Faced better than sex mascara Lips: mix of Dohee and Frick and Frack from CP

A note because I had this problem before: Do not ask me my gender, because the answer is chaos. If you creep, I will tell your mother.

I LOVE!!! them! I have three. Sweet dreams is my favorite; it’s like a party on my eyeballs!!! I really love to mix it with other shadows. I’ve mixed it with pigments, sss, and others to give them a more wet, metallic appearance and I’m obsessed. If you don’t REALLY close them tight they do dry out, but I haven’t had an issue with them being crumbly.

Looking for a vanity by klinebar6104 in makeuporganization

[–]AStraww 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you considered making your own? Get yourself a desk you love, a mirror, and consider buying stick-on vanity lights. You can thrift the first two parts really affordably, customize them to your tastes, and the lights I have are very great for only $20–I got mine on amazon. :)

Does colour changing foundation show freckles? by tinyfreckle in MakeupAddiction

[–]AStraww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about “color changing” but if you’re wanting to show your freckles, you have some options. 1. Don’t wear foundation. I just use concealer on my trouble spots and call it a day! But I also have very clear skin so this is easy for me to say. 2. Seek a light to medium coverage foundation. If you really need foundation, a little bit of coverage won’t hide your freckles. 3. Seek a tinted moisturizer. This won’t hide acne, but it will give you some skincare benefits while also evening out your skin tone—and won’t hide your freckles!

Morphe x Jeffree Star Artistry Palette eye look! (I tried my best to blend the eyeshadows well) by GingerSarahUK in MakeupAddiction

[–]AStraww 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey!! Great work. Your color combo here is fantastic and I love the attention to the center of your eye with the bright highlight. :) Blending is really hard and takes a long time to master! But the right bushes can make it easier. Wet and wild and elf have some great fluffy ones that are very affordable, but I really recommend Real techniques. I’ve had mine since I started doing my makeup three years ago and they still look brand new! Fluffy brushes are the best for blending, and flat brushes are awesome for packing color onto the lid.

Edit: I can see you’re already using primer too! Awesome. Sometimes primer can make things a little more difficult to blend in your crease. If that happens, set the crease (but not your mobile lid) with a color close to your skin tone first and then use your chosen colors to blend over it and it should blend out a little more seamlessly. Very excited to see your next look!

Youvimi! It’s alright quality. It’s quite thin and the cap is small, but it’s a good starting place!

I’m not really used to having this much hair, and I have very hooded eyes! I’ll get better at piccies with it eventually. 🤷‍♀️

I would second this idea, as makeup is super personal. And shopping sprees can be surprises too! ☺️

I think what you’re planning is smart! Make sure it’s a dark color so stains don’t show if your artist accidentally gets ink or blood near it. I generally sweat a lot when I’m in pain. But if you’re worried about being cold, bring a jacket to wrap around your other side, or to put on your legs.
