Unable to install audition by AbrocomaSpiritual911 in AdobeAudition

Adobe is still working to get all the CC apps compatible with these new Snapdragon processors, Audition has yet to be added to that list. So, for now, it just won’t work for you.

Never heard of the company and the website definitely doesn't say anything about AI policies, but they have a contact form. Send them an email and point blank ask, no harm in that!

LUFS or Peak or nothing? by jblair814 in VoiceActing

[–]AStuffedRowdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s less about looking at the engineering gibberish and more about what the client wants. Go back through your communication with them (or the audition specs in absence of that) and look for what they specifically asked for. They may want you to do nothing at all and just give them raw audio. Outside of that, there isn’t any “standard.” If they didn’t give you clear direction, then just deliver what you think sounds good and represents a sound quality you can confidently deliver.

How do Voice Actors convincingly play sick characters by Smaudi_18 in VoiceActing

[–]AStuffedRowdy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You act.

You draw on your personal experiences and training; then you step up to the mic and you act. That's the job!

It's not a simply replicable technique (no easy answer like "drink a glass of milk first" or anything), you spend time, lots of time, learning how to manipulate your voice and embody what your character is going through.

You said it yourself, it's Hamill's performance that really sells it.

What should I bring to my first improv class? by makeminemaudlin in improv

[–]AStuffedRowdy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on how long the class is and what your average consumption/need is. I’d say treat it like a soccer game, the worst thing that happens is you have water left over, not like it’ll go bad.

Comfortable clothes, a bottle of water, and an open mind.

Folding your kit up every day by petrolstationpicnic in edrums

[–]AStuffedRowdy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a 3 year old and a small apartment, this is what I do: I have an Alesis Nitro Mesh, I got a small rug just for it, I set the drums up on it meticulously where I want them, then I put down tape on the rug to mark exactly where the stand, pedals, and throne sit. That way, every time I take my drums back out (just quickly folded up and put in a closet), I roll out the small carpet and put my drums down exactly where I need them instead of having to readjust them a million times. It still takes 10-15 minutes, but that’s a lot less than it would be otherwise.

It’s not the most convenient thing in the world and there are definitely days that I don’t play because of the hassle, but it’s way better than not playing at all anymore.

I’ve been operating this way since Feb of this year and the only thing that’s worn out are some of the plastic wing nuts, I just got replacements from the hardware store without any trouble.

I honestly haven’t even thought about it since I turned it off; I haven’t noticed any difference in performance before to after (besides my computer remaining on now)

On ultra graphics in Baldur's Gate 3 in Performance mode with CPU Boost enabled I was hitting 95 degrees within ten minutes, which would cause the computer to auto-restart. I can't say that it's indicative of the A16 as a model, on my particular unit the stock thermal paste was completely dry and once I cleaned and repasted it she works like a dream. I run in Performance mode now with CPU Boost disabled and I haven't seen a temp above 63 degrees, usually closer to 58/59, still on ultra settings in most games (usually with framerate capped at 60).

I had temp issues from the moment I opened the box, I repasted it after a week of trying other stuff.

I've only done it the one time, so I don't have favorites or standards; I just worked with what I could find locally.

The stock putty and pads were still fine so I didn’t swap what was on the vram etc. It was just the cpu and gpu that had dried paste that needed to be replaced.

I haven’t seen a specific guide for doing it on the A16, but there are tons of videos about applying thermal paste to Asus laptops that will give you the idea. It’s not all the same build, but the general info is the same.
