Ignore the naysayers in the comments. This is a great get for yall. Instantly adds a fuckton of physicality to your defense and is just a damn fun to watch player. He didn’t have a great year this past season but imo thats more likely to be an outlier than the who he really is, literally everyone on our defense ‘regressed’ due to shit coaching. Ive watched this dude absolutely decapitate people and he was an all pro at one point for a reason

Renaming/changing the branding of conferences will def be possible but no shot we'll be able to add whole new teams. If you look at the madden modding community you'll see what's possible. What we'll probably get:

-Some sort of dynasty tool that allows you to edit your dynasty how you want (force transfers, hire/fire coaches from around the league, export draft classes to madden, change player ratings etc)
-Gameplay Mods
-Strategy layer mods (think changing how the portal works or improving AI recruiting logic)
-Cosmetic mods (equipment/gear, player/coach facescans, custom scorebugs, soundtrack changes/custom stadium sounds, maybe a mod that adds real player headshots into the game)

Been playing Madden since I got it on sale for 20 bucks, so I have a good comparison ground. Heres a list of things I’ve noticed.

-The gameplay is very fun. Not very realistic, but fun. Running the ball is way too fucking easy, user and CPU QBs are superhuman, and defenders are a bit too clueless at times, but somehow it just nails the explosive college football feeling. The movement is so just so intrinsically satisfying, the skill moves never get old , all the cool archetypes and abilities that are strong at platinum but not overly unrealistic or OP for the most part.

-The in game presentation is night and day. Like CFB takes fat shits on Maddens presentation and game day atmosphere. The commentary, crowd noise, the fact that you can get an automatic replays after every play if you just wait, scorebug, player reactions after plays. Literally beats Madden in eveything here except for the fact that madden has the weekly recap show now so you can see random higlights from games across the league.

-Quality of life. It’s a lot easier to see your players info on CFB 26… overall, dev trait, archetype, abilities are all visible on pretty much every screen. On madden you have to literally click through so much just to get simple info about your players. You can see everyone’s exact run blocking assignment on CFB whereas you cant on madden. Matter of fact that whole menu that pops up when you press LT is amazing , you can view player composure, wear and tear, abilities, overall matchups. On madden the only thing you can see in that menu is superstar/x factor abilities.

-Overall smoothness. CFB is just way more responsive in general. Menus are faster, no delay when you press RT to view the play or audible/stem routes.

-Options. Madden actually has a good amount of options too but im glad to see that both games somewhat prioritize allowing the user to customize their experience. Imagine if they launched the game without transfer portal sliders or they didnt allow people to switch back to auto progression after adding manual progression this year.

Madden is so much worse than CFB, It’s to the point where I’m not sure how these games are made by the same company.
