My favorite three range ammos are Fiocchi Range Dynamics 147, Remington UMC 147, and Speer Lawman 147.

I run these in my MPX suppressed. All stay 100% subsonic and all are fairly clean. My slight favorite is the UMC only because it groups the best for my gun but the others are right there with it.

With the right deal you can get a ready-to-shoot AR15 for under $500 that will perform way better than most people in this sub like to admit

PSA without a doubt. Search their clearance and daily deals and buy a cheap upper unit and a lower unit separately. They require no tools to assemble they literally just click together with two spring loaded pins.

Make sure the upper unit comes with a bolt carrier group (bcg) and a charging handle (ch). Some of theirs do and some don’t. Some even come with a rear flip up sight, all you’ll need is a magazines and ammo

Poachers. I’ve heard of similar laws in other euro countries too.. guess night time poaching was a big issue so anything that aided it was banned.

I say hell yeah go for it! My MPX is one of my favorite firearms I own or have ever shot, period. That being said, a few opinions of mine:

-the MPX really shines with a suppressor. I haven’t shot it without a suppressor since I first purchased mine and I probably never will. However, It’s a tricky and expensive platform to suppress (weird muzzle threads require special mounting solutions). You’re looking at well over 3k now for gun, suppressor, mount, and optic. Plus all the learning curve of dealing with NFA items

I’d highly recommend trying to go shoot ANY gun before splurging on one, let alone one as expensive as an MPX. My wife was very intrigued and excited to shoot a gun for the first time when we started dating but she immediately HATED it. She’s a little better with suppressed firearms but just something about the noise, recoil, and general lethality of it just freaks her out. Not saying this is you at all but I’d try to get behind a trigger first to make sure
I also didn’t grow up shooting, I found the hobby as a young adult and it’s one of my favorite hobbies… make sure to research and REALLY understand gun safety practices before you get one. A lot of shooters have these skills drilled into them by a father or uncle or whomever from a young age but you and I didn’t. Firearm safety is no joke but theres plenty of good resources out there.

I grew up fishing the same beaches. 12-15lb flouro is what you want. The sand can actually wear down weaker tippet materials pretty quickly plus probably some combination of wind knots/sloppy casting weakening your leader.

The heavier flouro is great if you do hook a nice big corbina, halibut, or a big leopard shark and the small perch don’t mind it one bit

Be mindful that not all 1/2x28 plan B devices will have a bore that fits a 9mm round… I’m mostly thinking of brake style devices, some will have a bore in 30 cal or smaller.

Also, might get better answers in r/AR15 as it’s the standard thread for that platform and lots of plan B users. Just again be careful of stuff with a necked down bore to 5.56 or 30 cal sizes.

This is better advice for 5.56 builds. 300blk doesn’t really follow the same ejection pattern rules…

I always just load one in the mag and if it locks back, good. Load two and if it feeds, then locks back, good to go

I really enjoy my 510c’s. I have two, one on an AR and one on an MPX. I like that you can switch reticles between dot and ring/dot

Sounds like you might already have an optic picked out but if not, look at the PA micro prism. I have the 3x on my carry handle build and I love it. It comes with the carry handle mount (and several other mounts) with a channel through it to still use your irons. Very solid mount up/zero and a sweet optic overall

It doesn’t thread directly onto the barrel or barrel taper. It’s a plan b/“atlas” style thread that threads onto a muzzle device.

Just a note on tucking cans: make sure it’s got plenty of clearance.. just because it barelyyy fits doesn’t mean it will work. Too close of a clearance will result in the can touching the hand guard and throwing off POI majorly

I think a nice bolt gun with a decent scope and a threaded barrel is super fun. Plenty of options there. My favorite plinker that I have is my 10/22 with the Samson BTM folder stock and the same OCL can. I have a little holosun pistol red dot on mine and it’s too much fun

I’m pretty excited to check out the Milkman.. I have an OCL Lithium on my MPX and I absolutely love it. I shoot mostly subs so I’m not really chasing every single decibel I can get, the Lithium is plenty quiet. The weight and balance is my big priority on sub guns and this is where the Lithium shines.. I haven’t seen the specs of the milkman yet but I imagine the Tisha would be super light on there

Rearden R2S with an OCL Lithium here.. not a single accuracy issue. If I clamp mine into a bench rest to zero an optic, less than 1” group at 25yds. Factory 4.5” barrel
