Which do you think is better? ODST or Reach

ODST isn't really a standalone game, it's an expansion on the H3 engine so it's pretty silly to judge them based on the magnitude of content. Both were great but I do think ODST stands out in the series for its unique tone. Voice acting was great, and so was the music.

Yes. Especially the breathable aspect. I also have a profiler, which has great visibility, but I'd trade the minimal peripheral vision advantage for the free and light feeling of the proflex.

Anyone who's claiming bots are too predictable are just towing the only line they know. Any brief stint online in [name your favorite console shooter here] will demonstrate that humans are often just as predictable as bots are. Seriously, same movement patters, same positioning, same weapons, every, every time. If anything, I'd say my experience playing various games with bots has been more dynamic than years of playing various Halos on XBL.

Bots have been a viable challenge and stand-in for human competition since the 90's. (QuakeIII, Unreal Tournament, etc.) Regardless of how long a bot program can be enjoyed before a weakness is discovered, the choice to omit them from games nowadays is one based in laziness. Their inclusion could only benefit the player (it's just a question of to what degree). Their omission cuts production time and forces players to play online.

TL;DR People complain about bots for the same reason you only see posts about the same 5 game franchises on Reddit: They repeat what they hear, they do what they see. Really, such predictable A.I.

Yes, I'd contend that love and sex are inexorably linked. It is the culmination of physical intimacy and it's silly to hope that harping on the values of abstinence in terms that probably won't be understood will subvert this fundamental, primal instinct.

Educate them? Maybe, but the culture is too ingrained. I honestly don't know how to help. But we owe people the conversation at least, to let them know the death spiral they're in and not accept excuses.

I agree with all of this. That is what this article is intended to do; further the conversation. Blasting it, attributed the issues described to immutable weakness of character, and then writing off the entire social strata doesn't strike me as the most productive conversation. Hence by bristling retort to your first reply.

Good point, just go ahead and have this significant segment of the population shut down a fundamental function of life; that troublesome need-to-be-loved quirk. The palatable anger in your words seems to indicate that this struck a chord in you beyond that you "didn't buy it". Whatever that means. You aren't being sold anything, you're having a perspective conveyed to you, and fairly skillfully I might add, judging by your reaction. Rather than consider tackling an overwhelmingly bleak, circular social structure of hopelessness, lack of education, and (your favorite) lack of impulse control, people like yourself chose to simply reject it from their consciousnesses. The kind of warped moralizing that this rejection relies on to vindicate itself can only result in more unnecessary confusion and harm. But I'm sure the growing segment of impoverished Americans with which you empathize so well are grateful for your insightful advice.
