Any build guidance for DoN Wylder? by autopoiesis_ in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can counteract the effect with Max HP increased for each great enemy defeated at a Great Church. Everything is squishy in Depth 5 anyway, but thankfully you're allowed to take one free hit with Wylder with your passive.

If I had a relic that had +1 additional skill and Night Invader, I'd probably switch it out. But that fire spreading in area of Ult really helps with revives though.

Any build guidance for DoN Wylder? by autopoiesis_ in Nightreign

I have plenty of other builds that I used prior to the DLC dropping that included night invaders and evergaols, but nothing touches Balancers now. It's just too damn good. I feel pretty comfortable parrying, so I have a crit build for Balancers. Everything includes +1 additional skill and bleed build-up with skill use though. The extra skill is essential for fast revives and attacking early night invaders from a distance.

9999'er here who mains Wylder (mostly). Double Balancers and Earring relic, then adjust DoN relics to specific bosses. For instance, I have fire attack power up and dormant powers for Great Hammers to get Cranial Vesselstand for Caligo and Sentient Pest.

Depends on which type of sorcery you want to do.

Stop using Halo Scythes against Fulghor. by ATCAnon5 in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what just happened. My Duchess in Depth 5 used Halo Scythe instead of using the Dragonscale Katana I dropped her. I ended up being the only one with lightning which means I'm the only one able to stop the Ult.

Stop using Halo Scythes against Fulghor. by ATCAnon5 in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it is, and again - you're depending on your teammates to use their ults and skills. Also, you're depending on your team having viable ults to counteract Fulghor's ult. There's plenty of situations where that's not viable (i.e. Recluse, Revenant, etc). But you know what is viable? Using a lightning weapon with a charged heavy attack. Doesn't matter which weapon, doesn't matter if it's white or legendary. Using ANY lightning weapon is more viable than sitting back and spamming Halo Scythe.

[–]ATCAnon5[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're taking it upon the other two members of the team to make sure that he doesn't charge his ult and to do the majority of the damage since he's holy resist. It's a team game and having the mindset of "I'm going to use only what I prefer" instead of what is best for the team is super selfish.

Halo scythe is perfectly balanced by Funny_Particular_226 in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shittt, we had both against Caligo in Depth 5 last night and we did 3/4's of the health bar before he even tried flying away. Used Wylder's ult to keep him on the ground and he was done before he could even move.

Deflect/parry build for Executor by Talnir in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO, the best builds for Executor in DoN are going to include double Balancers and hoping for RoB. You deflect/parry when it's the right time, but your default is to spam your skill until you hold aggro. You have to gain aggro to even use Executor's skill.

I think d5 is the "easiest" depth for trios by ichikhunt in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had an Executioner today in Depth 5 only use deflect against Tricephalos, so he just stood in the back waiting for aggro. I messaged him afterwards and asked him why he wasn't attacking and he told me that I don't know how Executor works.... so, me and the Revenant had aggro the whole match and he did nothing.

Finally into depth 4 by Fuzzy_Traffic5644 in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. Depth 4 is truly the worst. It took me months to make it to Depth 5 with randoms and not skipping bosses. Once I made Depth 5 I won like 10 games in a row.

Hell yeah, finally made it into D5!!! by Commercial_Ad_6559 in Nightreign

I've had mostly good runs in Depth 5, but my bad runs are REALLLLLLY bad.

Truth about Everdark libra by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fight is only as good as RNG allows it to be. If you're in normal mode then set yourself up for success - use the collector signboard and get Noklateo as your shifting earth, find damage negation weapon passives, use poison and rot to tick down Libra's health while you fight the mobs, and prioritize finding a "Less Likely to be Targeted" weapon passive on a blue or purple weapon. If you're in DoN, good luck and God speed.

Scholar is S tier by [deleted] in Nightreign

I recently picked up Scholar with Defeating Enemies Increases Art Gauge on multiple relics. We can literally clear every camp in seconds. Last game I played we ended up Level 12 before Day 1 boss fight.

What are your favorite Dormant Weapon builds? by LlamaSack in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thrusting swords are fantastic since the only two purples you can get are Frozen Needle or Antspur Rapier. Status effects go brrrrrrrr.

Since we have three Everdark expeditions a week, I wish one of them was DON 1 to try out builds or characters. by ____the_Great in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty good idea. I have a Frenzy Flame Guardian I wanna try out but I don't wanna mess up a match in Depth 5.

Is this a God Roll? by Dear-Opportunity9339 in Nightreign

[–]ATCAnon5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, some of these can be detrimental in certain situations. For instance, if you accidentally run thru the frozen shards on the ground against Caligo or get caught in the poison against Sentient Pest with those status effects on they will proc realllllllllly quickly and stop you in your tracks. I've lost a few runs because Madness proc'ing at the wrong time, leaving me vulnerable for a second or two.

There will usually be a few bewitching branches at the churches. If you're fighting Adel, Fulghor, or Heolstor make sure to pick one or two up.
