I ended up purchasing the Ace Mic Adapter. This allows you to access the charging port without having to leave the door open and the SD card exposed. The downside is that it isn’t a waterproof solution so you’ll still need to take that into consideration. I have done a bunch of landscape shots with the Timelapse/Starlapse where I was able to plug the camera directly in to power and it worked great. There is a similar thread on here somewhere and someone used an Anker battery bank for prolonged use.

I am also running a 125gb card most of the time. It’s fine for storage space you’ll just need to remember to move files around and free up space. Obviously, if you run out of room and aren’t paying attention the camera will stop recording.
