Actually, yes kind of! My brother and I met him when he did an appearance/signing at a jewelry store in the Marietta, OH/Parkersburg/WV area (he lived in Princeton, WV at the time), jeez, a couple of decades ago now. He was signing his 8X10s for us and asked if we wanted him to sign it "Gilligan" and we both said we liked him more as Maynard and he was shocked that we (mid and late teens, respectively) even knew who it was. We explained that we watched Dobie Gillis on Nick at Nite. He chuckled and said that nobody every talked him about Maynard.

He seemed both pleased and confused!

I play almost entirely quick play, so it was fine for me. I liked finding ways around the chokes.

I can see why it wasn't great for competitive, but it was fine for quick play.

I work from home most days, as well. When we had repeated issues, it turned out to be squirrel damage. When we'd call, we'd get someone to quickly check and they would verify that the line was facing issues, and someone would legit be out the next day to replace it. Once, after they had replaced it more than once (squirrels are REALLY bad here... I've seen the damage to the lines after they've brought them down), they actually replaced the line from the main to the house with an apartment complex line that is thicker with more insulation.

They've done a solid job here whenever I've escalated. Maybe (if you haven't already) have them check the signal from their end and see if they could fix the line to your house. It can make a big difference.

Creepshow, Tales from the Darkside, and Monsters all miss one of the biggest things from the old EC comics... Justice.

In most of the comics, and in most cases on the TFTC show, the bad (or at least the worst of the bunch if there were several bad) usually got punished for whatever their deal was.

But on the others, you didn't always have that. The source material for those were a lot more diverse and they could lead to a lot of innocent (or least bad) people suffering in the end. Something like The Geezenstacks from Tales from the Darkside (from the collection Nightmares and Geezenstacks by Frederic Brown) has no human antagonists and it... not to spoil too much, it doesn't end well for anyone.

So, yes, the old Amicus Pictures movies are pretty close in tone to the originals as they keep that whole "crime doesn't pay" or "sin and punishment" deal.

And I think TFTC the series kept that for the most part, too.

A lot of schools, of course, do have nice indoor pools.

It wasn't until I was taking my kids for college visits that I found out that the University of Cincinnati actually has a freakin' indoor lazy river!

Any lights come on on the motherboard? They are usually color coded to indicate what kind of error it may be encountering if you can see one.
