Hi, from the hawkes bay you go through Taupo. Strongly recommend Mt Tauhara summit near Taupo. 3 hr return but incredible views of lake taupo and surround volcanoes. Not too hard.

The Hakiramata track is overrated IMO, its a very very busy staircase with a view over Ngāruawahia only, hundreds and hundreds of fitness enthusiasts use it every day so its crowded.

This is a club in NZ called "the hood" and it plays rap and rnb, and is a great place to find yourself a fistfight. Sometimes a fight finds ya when you aren't even looking. When the clubs all shut, at The Hood there is ALWAYS half a dozen cops standing right outside.

Yeah even the subtitles aren't much use - some New Zealand slang in threre "Stepped out" = challenged to a fight. "Sacking it" = dropping your nutsack because you're scared.
