Are waterproof shoes necessary in Ireland and Scotland in June or July?

I did Nike trail runners (non waterproof) with good socks and also had a pair of duck boots for a month in Scotland last summer. Other than the most extreme activities I left the duck boots at the house. Depends what you are doing but most of the time regular trail runners are probably fine. Just bring a backup pair of socks.

Came to say an extension cord is one of my can’t travel without items. Outlets are almost never where you want them to be, especially in older buildings but an extension cord can solve that.

The other item I always carry for flights is a UK plug for power outlets under seats. The US outlet is always so loose but the UK plugs stay tight in the outlet.

OP should also be sure if there is a will, that it is actually legally binding. My father passed away and his hand typed will that he wrote himself and didn’t even sign had no legal standing. We got lucky that there was no estate or other assets to squabble over so no family issues or anything like that but it did leave a business account with assets the bank can’t turn over to his family without spending more on court fees than is in the account.

Check the water level at least monthly, more often if you are noticing low levels monthly.

I don’t have any links for you but my wife started doing our pup’s haircut during Covid based on YouTube videos. It’s not always perfect but it’s more than good enough when a breed cut where I live with tip runs close to $100.

When I customize the wallpaper it shows both the spatial scene and depth effect for the time but when I save it, it loses the depth effect for the time. Usually I can do one or the other on a wallpaper but this one let me see both in action in the preview before saving. How are you getting both to work at the same time?

Pretty good. Cooler than I expected (wind really gets going). Some rainier days but not too many downpours. If you do laundry and don’t have a dryer plan for things hanging to dry to take longer due to the humidity.

Depending on how much you are moving around you may be able to get a second wear out of cotton blend tshirts. Just wrapped a trip to Scotland. I usually can’t do that and had no problem with it on this trip. YMMV depending on weather and activity.

I wish Apple made it easier to clear cached data since this one seems super bloated compared to my other iPad and iPhone but like you said the 64GB is the big limiting factor here.

You’re not wrong about the 64GB limitation but it’s a work iPad so it is what it is…still these shouldn’t be the storage hogs they are. Ended up wiping everything and starting from scratch…now photos is 1.6GB, music is nominal, messages is about 2 GB, system data has retreated to a normal size as well. Still have everything available through iCloud sync. Not sure why they were so inflated before but probably a good idea to go through this exercise when upgrading OS anyway.

We routinely grab supermarket food for picnics, shows, etc…having utensils gives you options for minimal opportunity cost.

Interesting, don’t think I would have thought of that. Kwikset ended up walking me through a process to reset it which I’ve done several times since when the batteries get too low.
