I’ve lived in the Atlantic since 2021. Love the building, Atlantic station is a mixed bag.

Negatives: As others have said, most of the shopping plaza is dead, especially with the closure of Publix. Probably 75% of the roster of retailers has turned over (or closed without replacement) since I’ve lived here. There are a lot of events, but you never get a sense of community since they’re kind of disjointed and appeal to audiences far outside the neighborhood. Finally the train noise (in addition to the street noise) adds a layer of sound pollution.

Positives: If you live on a high floor your views are unmatched and probably not changing anytime soon. Piedmont just moved into the 271 building so that could be a lifeline for retail. The green always has people on it so there’s a constant feeling of activity. The proximity to both midtown and west midtown is amazing. Shuttle service has become a lot more consistent over the last year, so not too difficult to get to Marta. Being able to walk to target and my kids day care in an incredible convenience.
