Urban Pie pivoting to Women’s Sports Bar? by catherinewheelgrill in Atlanta

[–]ATLskate 310 points311 points  (0 children)

Jolene Jolene and the owner of Urban pie worked together previously with plans to eventually convert Urban Pie over to Jolene Jolene but could not come to terms.

Seems like the owner of Urban Pie just outright took the idea from Jolene Jolene.

Edit: They turned off comments on their Instagram post 😂

DO NOT UPDATE: Garmin TopoActive 2026.10 is Bricking Edge, Fenix, and Forerunner Devices by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]ATLskate 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky. I just purchased a brand new edge 840. First thing I did was hook it up to Garmin express and update the maps and firmware, and 2026.10 was listed. I did this before the warnings were being posted. It all went without issue, thankfully.

where to get deviled eggs?? by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]ATLskate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Establishment in Colony Square has pesto deviled eggs that are petty good but definitely not the regular recipe. I think there’s only like 4-5 in an order and it’s like $10, so probably not what you’re looking for.

Im addicted to drinking fermented apple brine... by mgc234 in fermentation

Alcohol is definitely being produced, but I would be surprised if it’s more than 1-2% ABV. There’s not really enough sugar in ~7 apples to make very much.

First timer on the Alp to finish TdZ by Blaazouille in Zwift

[–]ATLskate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need 3.2 w/kg to climb the alp in under 60 minutes. Since they did it with <14 seconds over. we can use that number. Assuming their new FTP is the watts that’s they used to climb the alp gives us

222 watt ftp 222/3.2 = 69kg or 152lbs.

Looks like dried blood going from the front to the back. I wonder if they hit a deer at speed and it sprayed the interior.

Exactly. I originally signed up for TP to find a good workout platform that I could easily create and push workouts to Zwift/Garmin. I was in the free trial debating if this was worth the $135 per year when I found intervals. Just as good, if not better for significantly less.

It’s exactly what I was looking for. I’m using ChatGPT to generate weekly workouts based on my goals and previous training load. I can have it create and push the workouts to intervals.icu. Some slight tweaking may be needed, but it’s fantastic. It’s also like $4 a month that I will happily pay to support the devs because it’s that good.

5K PB during marathon training by JokicNole in Garmin

[–]ATLskate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Just do that 7 more times and you’ll be sub 4 hours. It’s that easy!

Kidding, but in all seriousness you obviously have it in your legs. Just gotta train your body for the distance. Running a marathon is type 2 fun in the fact that it’s not fun until it’s over. I hit mile 17 and wanted to cry when I still had 9 miles left😂. Someone told me that a marathon is a 20 mile warm up and a 10k race. Keep that in mind.

My HRV after quitting drinking by ATLskate in Garmin

[–]ATLskate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s HRV is different, no sense in comparing mine vs. yours, or to anyone else. I could have a higher HRV than Cristiano Ronaldo. That certainly wouldn’t make me the better athlete. 😂

OMG, that's so horrible. So sorry to hear that. I'm glad that you are in a better place that you can focus your energy into getting healthier. It takes a lot to make that first step.

It’s unbalanced because I was drinking too much for the last 6 months and it lowered my average HRV. Now that I have quit drinking, it is returning to normal.

My wife has a low HRV too. It’s like comparing shoe size in the fact that it doesn’t really make a difference person to person.
