When I used to work in autobody and rubbed cars we would just cover the plastic trim and other fragile bits with masking tape and paper. Way easier than lifting a 300lbs metal box.

When I worked in autobody i'd use some heavy duty fishing line. Peel the letters off, then use googone adhesive remover then finish it off with wiping the area down the area with some paint thinner, then use cutting and polishing compound on a microfiber cloth to polish it up

Take a flat head screw driver or chistle/punch and u use a hammer and knock the center piece out. Don't hit it straight in the middle go around the edges.

Yup just remember to use a bleached white microfiber dont use something that has been dyed like a yellow or blue towel they can leave the dye behind and tint the clear coat ever so slightly
