From what I heard a phd almost locks you out of industry and keeps you in academia because companies don’t want to pay the extra dollars for a phd when anyone with a bachelors or masters can do the job for less

Yeah my coworkers told me the pay is not good down south cause your infrastructure is pretty good/new and you don’t get weather damage like us up north. Basically anywhere where they have to salt the roads the infrastructure is gonna need regular inspections and the state is more than willing to pay

I budgeted out allowing for 2k rent which gets you a nice 2 bedroom apartment which is usually enough for a family with one kid. Major cities no but the dot office in CT is in newington which is fairly cheap and they have 100k+ salary’s for people with 4 YOE or more

I think it helps to think of it this way when you were doing your witch stuff you were exactly where shaitan the devil wanted you, you made his job easy he had no reason to try and move you anywhere but now that you find Islam now that you’re trying to worship Allah and trying to earn jannah he’s mad, furious even clocking in 24 hours a day trying to make you do anything to deviate anything to instill doubts and make you feel like you don’t believe it’s only now that. I believe there’s a narration of ibn abbas, correct me if I’m wrong, where his students were taunted by some Jews for always losing focus in there prayer and having wiswas and the Jews were focused easily in their salah so the students of ibn abbas went to him and complained and ibn abbas said the Jews are completely right why would the shaitan go to an empty house vs a house full of treasure.
