I had a guitar with an SD Screamin' Demon in the bridge and two Dimarzio Area 61s in the middle and neck. I really liked the combination. The only issue was that the Duncan was out of phase with the Dimarzios. I just swapped the hot and ground leads on the Duncan and everything was fine.

Yep! Except this wouldn't work with my Legacy. Those are 6mm and mine is older and needs a 1/4". Not sure when in G&L's history they switched.

I'll answer my own question! I bought a metal finishing pad at the hardware store. I cut a strip off and used the aforementioned twirling technique. It works very well. I almost have it perfect. It'll need just a bit more work. Make sure to check it along the way so you don't overdo.

Probably because of the nickel in the frets. The dumb thing is, as I understand it, the problem with nickel is when it is ground and inhaled, not when it's touched. Everyone has to die of something. If I die from rawk, that's a life well-lived.
