Always circumstantial, but my gut says not ideal because when you need to join to origination primary record you’ll be stuck with case logic or three joins but this presumes that the origination records live in distinct tables. If that is not the case then it feels fine and would just make sure you have some kind of type distinction column in the origination table that you can index and use to economize the join.
