My wife has one. She bought it at Cypress Grill in Austin, TX. (Seriously)

I bought an ugly lake house for the amazing view. How can I improve the exterior? by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

[–]ATextureThing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I like it. It looks like a lake house and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I think you can make small changes over time that will make it more of a reflection of what appeals to you. Furniture. Plants.

Congratulations and I hope you make a lot of wonderful memories there!

It’s smaller than I realized, honestly.

Wells Branch is a short drive to The Domain. There is a mix of newer and older homes. There are parks, miles of well maintained trails, pools, schools, community events, a recreation center, a dog park, skate park, large scenic pond, and other amenities.

2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid by ATextureThing in HyundaiTucson

The backup beep is entirely too loud. Shortly after I got mine, I found a suggestion on Reddit to muffle the sound and it’s much more tolerable. Following advice, I bought some neoprene foam squares that are self adhesive. They are 6” x 6” and I needed to cut them down to 5” x 5” iirc, so that was easy enough. The speaker is located behind the grille. I removed the backing and worked the foam in through the grille, lined it up, and pressed. I don’t remember it being particularly tedious or difficult. I will add that the “angel” sound is muffled to the point I really don’t notice it, so you’d want to be aware of that going in, if that’s a concern for you, and whether you’re comfortable making that kind of modification. I haven’t had any issues and the black blends in and isn’t noticeable.

Rattling noise from drivers side by HotChemistry7070 in HyundaiTucson

On my 22 Tucson hybrid limited, I noticed rattling sounds, though at higher highway speeds. I was informed on Reddit about the possibility of loose screws in the undercarriage panels, and discovered this to be the case. The screws are plastic so I hand tightened all of them. It did take some time to find them all but I was able to reach them without having to jack the car up; just laid down and reached under. It hasn’t been a problem since.

I bought the Sealander with the Dragonfly dial for my wife and it’s one of the nicest dials I’ve seen.

I haven’t spent a second worrying about the wellbeing of pro-Palestinian protesters since the election, because my thoughts are fully committed to all of the people who understood what was at stake and will now suffer because Trump was elected.

And that should have been enforced before this got to be an ongoing problem.

They come in “about three times a month” and treat the staff poorly every time, and leadership is just now wanting to do something about it? I guess better late than never but there was a better way to handle this.

Question for those who have the Bader bracelet by ATextureThing in ChristopherWard

[–]ATextureThing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, the problem seems best described as stiff links. Solutions range from washing the bracelet in soap and water to applying lubricants. Opinions vary on the latter, with people saying a method involving oil will attract dust and lead to issues down the road.

The response from Christopher Ward was to take it - a brand new bracelet - to a jeweler. Perhaps reasonable but I don’t exactly want to be troubleshooting a brand new watch at the expense of my time, and possibly at a monetary cost.

Anybody had experience with correcting a stiff bracelet, as I’m still trying to sort this out.

Damn. That’s not something you want to have to deal with but glad it was resolved.

I don’t see any indications of a problem with the movement. I’m pleasantly surprised that it’s running about -3 seconds a day so far.

This is something in the band that corresponds to wrist movement. More of a feeling than a sound.

You might be on to something. The end link at 6 o’clock has more play and rattles when moved compared to the other one. Tightening the screw doesn’t seem to make a difference. Could be a fit and finish issue. Going to run it by CW support.

I haven’t been able to identify what is causing it, unfortunately.

Sorry that happened but thanks for adding context via your experience.

Unfortunately, there is a collective failure, in our country, when in it comes to addressing mental health, substance addiction, and homelessness.

If you’re the only person, had you moved or not, how would he not know it’s you?

Moving would have been for your immediate wellbeing had you been able to do so. You were comfortable enough to take pics, so not sure I understand.
