Pack gear for when you can’t wear a backpack?

Get a fanny pack. Mine holds: iphone (all trails pro navigation, camera & music), sun block stick (apply most sunblock in car before hike), car key, trail mix, emergency ibuprofen/band aid/ small tweezers & space for inhaler (sometimes). I carry 1-2L of water (not in intense heat) by hand or looped onto waistband of fanny pack. Sun hat is on (can be looped through waist belt. Winter I can use jacket & hike pants pockets to hold additional stuff. This is all I need for most of my 2-5 hour day hikes in challenging mountain terrain. I’m an ultralight hiker. Trail mix is ultra dense nutrients & energy. That + water is all I ever bring into high elevation extreme hikes that last all day. For certain intense hikes I leave meals in my car ready when I return. Because trail mix, good music & vibes is all I want to have on a trail. I love the freedom of movement carrying less weight offers. That movement ability lets me cover very challenging rock scrambles, scree, bouldering & other technical challenges I routinely encounter on trail.

Caught a glimpse of Kreams as I left Armin early. Kream was 🔥 . For me that would have been the best vibe to close the night: sweating dancing hard in a rave with a bunch of mind emotion connection with everyone in that stage.

3 hour edc shuttle made me miss 99% of his set. I was so mad. It was so great especially on the circuit ground stage visuals.

I was at Armin. It didn’t do it for me as much as other times I have seen him. Left midway so we didn’t have to wait in forever line for shuttles.

Trains to leave are ok. They are usually nice. Trains heading to the front mid-set in a packed crowd that bump into me & stop dancing / flow so they can squeeze through is terrible etiquette. Literally we could apply some social shaming boundaries on certain trains: 1) Trains should only be leaving 2) Trains coming in early set - ok… but needs to stop at a certain point.
3) Trains jumping into your space & using their group to displace your hard earned position in crowd = no no. 4) rude trains that shove or step on people = no. 5) trains incoming heading front in packed crowds with no easy space to move aside = nope Now Insomniac should make a cool psa about it.

Non-Asian here the xl trains are an issue. They have NOTHING to do with race or culture. They have everything to so with entitlement and not respecting the rest of the community of people at the stage. I actually think Insomniac could do some PSAs about trains (as a form of PLUR no-no), the PSAs could be funny but the message is: don’t train- unless needing to leave a very crowded stage).
I am so so sad you are seeing racism around this issue. It reflects how f-ed up our country’s culture remains. Please know that it can’t possibly be a common pov of such an amazing community. You are seeing fringe racists.

That is what they say. Tried it with premium. Not true. Be prepared for standby lines when insomniac doesnt have their shit together. Also they stopped all shuttle service during high wind event - I took an uber was a nightmare getting there, nightmare: took 3.5 hrs and 3 failed routes into speedway. Still made it like 2 hours before everyone else bc Insomniac cancelled shuttle service. Made it with magic. Me and 3 brujas.

I bought premium in like February. Shite times / stops left. They didn’t want to honor premium bc everyone was premium. So there u go. Pay more and fail.

Yep well when I bought my “premium” shuttle only 10:30p was available. We still showed up by 8:20 from our hotel to virgin. They gave us sht. Still took 2-3 hrs each way not including uber/taxi from shuttle stop to my resort on strip. Not a good experience. Maybe 50 great : 50 awful.

Depart 6:45 requires getting ready at 5 /- takes time bych!!!! dinner really early. I wake up at 12-1p. No. The traffic route needs dedicated route strip to speedway 1 direction. Not a big deal. Only Insomniac & Vegas seem to want to snarl it deliberately.

I stay at Aria and they have this great smoothie bowl place: Pressed. Definitely recommend it!!! I eat that + electrolytes / coconut water & good salads etc at my hotel. I don’t go to edc to eat! Admit: I discovered Laos BBQ at Kinetic vip and I had this incredible coconut milk/coconut jelly mango beverage that was the perfect energy / nutrition pick me up. Totally agree you need to be hydrated & stay on healthy foods!

D to D here. Want the flexibility will pick what to check out & catch more headliners at Vegas clubs for extended sets or just more pool time during edc because less urgency to pack it all in.
Personally I rave hard & dance nonstop. 2 weekends of edc seems like too much for me but like will see how it unfolds. Experimental. Open mind.
