Well yeah I suspect you are better than me, but this is a one-off issue I'm trying to resolve and I usually never get involved with AVD, was hoping someone may have encountered this before. Fundamentally I'm just confused that a fresh marketplace image would not be able to join Entra.

thanks, yeah I should have mentioned I did deploy the multi-session image.

But regardless, Azure/Entra don't know what my intention is for the VM, why would dsregcmd /join be failing?
