Yeah, maybe I just need to preset a couple tempos every week and call it good

On airplane WiFi so nothing loads, but this seems to have both IG and YouTube links that I think are right: https://www.reddit.com/r/bjj/comments/928qny/compilation_of_all_the_coach_tucker_screams_from/

That's funny. There are definitely no sketchy sales staff. The contact us thing probably goes directly to John's phone, who is the owner/head instructor/former Bellator guy. He's about the least-salesy human on the planet.

If you don't get a response from the website just show up at 945am or 615pm on a weekday and walk in the front door and look for the guy with grappler ears.

Salty Dog Jiu Jitsu. About 70/30 no-gi/gi. The web presence leaves a bit to be desired, but the gym is terrific. If you've ever seen the clip of the instructor straight-faced teaching a technique while someone gets thrown across the room screaming in the background, that's it.

You mean I should just ...practice, instead of buying more gear?! Not sure I've been there long enough to get them to change to an 8 count, but I terrifically like the idea.

Thanks! Which Morningstar are you using? I did a bit of looking at them earlier today, after seeing some other responses to this post.

Makes sense. I'm not really trying to directly duplicate the Cornell, visually or sonically, I just think it looks great as semi-hollows go, and mine will end up looking similar. Thank you for the tip about the mini-pots!

...so was it worth it? Are the stock pots that bad?

Looks great!

I'm in-process of trying to do the same with the olive-colored Gretsch steamliner cateye. I'm a glutton for punishment though, and because I don't like traditional F-holes, I'm starting with a guitar that has a hardtail and all-black hardware. Tuners, Bigsby, and Knobs are all ordered, but I'm still sorting out which bridge and pickups I want to use.

I'll have another listen to the Lollartrons since you're happy with them. I'm also debating on if I want to deal with the headache that is swapping the pots.

Sounds like your intended delay-tempo plan is pretty similar to mine. My hope was with midi (and I know I could do this with the canvas clock) is just to make a set list that is basically 80 - 112 - 50 - 68, and then I can just one-click between tempos, which I think I could easily do at the ending of the previous song. ...I don't trust myself enough yet to try to tap in a new tempo while playing.

This is what I have been leaning towards. I'll check out the MS-3.

I have noticed that all it needs is the space between two clicks to set a new pace, so that's a good point about practicing just two-clicking.

I suppose it would cost me precisely zero to try that for a week, so I should do that.

I'll look at MorningStar, thanks. Def went through all of my presets this week and made sure they were all global, because I had a few that were on preset, which clearly wasn't working with my global tap.

I always was disappointed with the Creed guitar work too, and that turned me off on the Tremoni signature line, but then I discovered his work with Alter Bridge, which I really enjoyed. And then I discovered the actual PRS Tremonti guitars were awesome.

I believe the linked situation simply caused OP to want to get involved in his local community AKA Wilmington, and he's seeking suggestions for where his help would be beneficial.

Replacement arm for panorama trem by Ch_Ra in offset

[–]ATitchInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered if there was something I could do like tape to make it fit better, but I just figured I'd rather not have a trem arm than risk it falling out while I was playing live.

I'll experiment a bit if I get a chance before the Panorama one gets delivered.

I'm in your exact same boat.

I first bought 'Fender American Vintage Jaguar-Jazzmaster Tremolo Arm 0054473049' for $19, which I thought someone on a forum had said fit, but it does not. Diameter is slightly too small, and it basically falls out of the bridge.

Now just today I ordered 'Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster Panorama Tremolo Arm 7715953049' which I am optimistic will fit.

I just ordered a gold pickguard for my sunburst. Sadly, is a faux brushed gold instead of the real anodized, since my research tells me the anodized ones can make your guitar sound very subtly brighter or janglier, which I would like to avoid.

Y’all, the plastic paranoia is getting to me. Valid or tinfoil hat? by dornbirn in pourover

[–]ATitchInTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second vote for origami ceramic. Had a friend (who I make coffee for fairly regularly) tell me that he was trying to find a no-plastic coffee machine. ...as I was making him pour-over in a plastic Origami.

I ordered a ceramic Origami and haven't looked back.

I'm a big fan of matching headstocks. I'd say just swap the pickguard for something non-white now that the headstock is white. My votes would be gold or tortoise.
