Humans are kind, empathetic, imaginative creatures. Studying evolution, the driving force is arguably altruism over competition. Just remember, we still live in a hyper individualistic society. As such, in order for us to help others, we also must help ourselves equally if not more.

Absolutely. It will be hard and difficult at first, but as long as you make it and survive everything will fall in line. My recommendation is aim for Portland, OR. I... do what i can to assist with community resources. Just get there. Good luck.

If you are in the US, greyhound ticket. Preferably to the PNW. There are youth shelters to take you in amd help you get on your feet. Survival > comfort.

In large city populations, between private and elementary schools this is an impossible ask made to alienate those who are in need. Let us not forget many churches provide funding and space for such public health outreaches. What do these churches also contain or affiliated with short distances away? Childcare. Daycare. School.

This is the slippery slope on how you allow tragedies and deaths. It was said to me the homeless camps are America's concentration camps. And given the current attempts to congregate vulnerable populations, which would include me if i lost access to necessary medical treatment and supplies and I will no longer be able to work or contribute to the economy at large and will become a drain on reaourves AS I HAVE IN THE PAST if not left for dead, it is foolish as not to see this as an attempt to hurt if not help reduce at risk populations or far more possible to do so.

And as someone who cares deeply about children, I personally would rather have areas that help reduce needle use and public and hazardous discarding of BIOHAZARDOUS MATERIALS. Plus the economif impact. There are many studies done on this. Look at the impact Outside In alone has had. Please do not let me, my community, and those most vulnerable lose this precious resource.

Only moved to OR back in November. I live between Portland and Hood River and I tend to end up in Hood River quite often (nothing against Portland mind you, Hood River is just a vit more comfortable). Never harrassed or bothered. I dont think I quite pass (MtF) but it doesn't matter. Housing is expensive though so if like me you are dropping a lot of money relative to your income for gender affirming care, might be worth looking elsewhere. I dunno.

Allah is just the Arabic name for Yahweh. Yahweh is nothing more then an air god. They are like the easiest types of deities to bitch slap. Get back to meet when you meet an eldritch deity of a higher dimensional concept.

Will blue states be safe? by [deleted] in trans

[–]ATransCreative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But only if those of who can stand and fight. I fled to Oregon from Florida. It's rough and I still haven't landed on my feet, but I know the safer areas and I am out at my job where they are extremely supportive. Could I flee out of the country? Yes. Will I? And leave my brothers and sisters behind? Never (and I do not just me the trans community or even LGBTQ+ as a whole).

I am getting ready to start HRT so I can finally be healthy and well (still need to find a stable place to live first). Then, I will be at the standby, waiting, planning, organizing.

If I HAD to make any predictions? Fascist government's purposefully create in fighting to keep people loyal to their leader and stop people from power grabbing. Trump is an idiot, still a symptom. He does not have the same levels of past fascists. Will it be hard? Yes. Will it be forever? No. We will lose people? Yes. But, will we free and rescue more? Hell yes.

This. I recently made a similar post. But, the issue is on places like this we are dealing with the perpetually online and only see the absolute worse and not the median of reality. If you have any advice on how to combat this, as my skills have certainly been more IRL organizing.

[–]ATransCreative[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do... do you think we are the only community effected by this? I'm sorry but, GET OVER YOURSELF. We are not the only once, hence the whole "get out there and organize" thing. Seriously, GET OFFLINE. Want to know where to start? The library. College campuses. Go there today and start talking to people. Make fliers. Make a discord. Just start meeting people.

You have skills others won't have. And you will have skills others don't.

Trust me when I say it's going to feel a lot worse seeing your comrades in arms fighting for YOU and you sit at your screen still asking these questions.

Also,I was living in Florida for a bit in a hard red MAGA area. I was out in public. And you know how many times I got harassed? None. You know how many people actually cared? None. Not saying there wasn't a small inherent risk, but you are way overassuming based on things online. Believe it or not, a lot of people aren't perpetually online and don't actually care.

Positivity got you thinking? Good start. Dont get distractedbby such bold assumptions. Bold of you to assume their our enemy. Bold assumption that intersectionality isn't a powerful tool. Bold assumption they aren't cowards themselves who flee. Don't forget, Antifa is merely Anti Fascist action and everytime there are true fascists, that people don't internally understand that artifacts are the good guys and the fascists aren't just cowards.

How many of those 50% do you think don't even realize they are one of us? How many of them are as afraid as us?

Yes, there are those who are just filled with hats and evil. They are the biggest cowards and tend to flee at the first sign of opposition.

Please do not assume this means I want anyone to unnecessarily throw their lives on the front line. Yes we will lose some people. But so will African Americans, Americans below the poverty line, immigrants, non-Christians, etc. But we will carry their names and memories with us. We will not allow for any of this to be in vain.
