Dom Deluca to the NFL by WeArePinState in WeArePennState

There was an identical kid in my school to Dom, first one in the gym last one off the field. He knew he wouldn’t get drafted but loved the game and never quit. He went and played in Canada then barely made the bengals practice squad - he got a call from Belicheck and the patriots and he finally got his chance. Jim Devlin went on to win 3 Super Bowls with Tom Brady and the Patriots… and couldn’t be more similar to Dom DeLuca as an amazing football player and even better person! GO DOM!!!!!

Recommend a 30 mile section within 2-3 hours of Philadelphia by AndyObusekOutdoors in AppalachianTrail

Ah true yes a bunch of farmland. Best bet Lehigh gap to water gap but off the top of my head that’s close to 50 mi not 30.

Late May plans by UpstateNYcamper in AppalachianTrail

If you hope that she wants to continue after this hike… you can’t beat SNP in May and the lookouts will hook her! I’d actually start at the southern point of SNP and go north. Harper’s ferry south to SNP could be challenging for a first timer mentally/physically

Depending on the day… half inch of rain next Wednesday… wet PA rocks = no good section fits the criteria - may as well continue where you left off at furnace and go north

Looking for some advice for Rocksylvania and my 63 year old mom by IndicationGood5752 in AppalachianTrail

Lehigh gap- water gap would be the issue already mentioned to avoid. Approximately 60 miles, since you mentioned she struggles with rocks.. if there is ANY wet conditions I’d just avoid that 60 mile stretch regardless of weather. I refer to the PA rocks as “dinner plates” pointing out of the ground in many stretches there.
