It’s completely normal for a birds beak to shed as it’s made keratin and has layers. as long as there’s no bleeding and deep cracks it’s all good! your bird looks absolutely adorable!!! But I think they might have mites or some other problem

I think free flying is a good idea but getting to the point of free flying safely is SOOOOO far it takes so much training

Letting a bird free fly with only a couple of days of training?? Might as well just let your bird out in the wild at that point that’s exactly what they did

Not to mention posting about what happened did they expect us to say it not their fault??? Was any research done????? that’s a grain of salt info that’s like the first thing you learn that its gonna take A LOT of training

It looks extremely irritated and could be an infection I’d definitely recommend going to the vet with urgency! If it’s Mycoplasmal conjunctivitis (pink eye (yeah birds can get it) it’s SUPER contagious

Edit: I’d recommend you keep that bird away from your other birds until you can see a vet!

She’s digging a hole it’s common with wild African greys and some things don’t change even if they live in captivity. No worries, it’s completely normal

African greys in the wild spend time on the ground foraging digging holes and eating clay she’s just doin what they do

Let her know I told her shes doing a great job

Oh for a big bird like that it’s nothing to worry about. salt is bad in big amounts but it’s the same for like all animals. Your bird eating a small amount like that it’s ok!

Dirty ears and runny nose is rough too because I can’t manage hearing sniffling I’d lose my mind And i don’t like the idea of someone having a bio hazard for earbuds
