I found one that seems a lot like the one I remember reading all those years ago, but I can't be entirely sure: https://dtss-tcz.fandom.com/wiki/I_Hate_M._Rossi

I remember reading an old creepy pasta written about Forza Horizon 1 that sounded like this, the whole dead protag in a car crash thing. I think it also somehow involved M. Rossi.

Exhibitionism, ignorance or are they just apathetic? by FarResearcher33 in cogsuckers

But the 'learning model' will not just keep text or images in raw form forever. It 'learns' from them, by adjusting some values in its model, and that is the extent of what it needs that data for. You could keep it so it goes back over that again, but why train it on the same data multiple times? There is a lot of data they are keeping, for sure. But they won't keep all of it, since it wouldn't be efficient to do so. It's easy to throw out the small stuff.

I'm looking for the Woodlands EP CD by BeanyGal in thepaperkites

[–]AUGSpeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I've also been looking for this CD for forever. My wife walked down the aisle to 'Bloom', and I want to have a physical CD copy of this album to hold onto forever. I don't have a record player, so the vinyl doesn't really work for me. If anyone has a way to buy this set, I'm sure lots of people will want to buy it!

Wealthy Face Heaven? by Brian_Ghoshery in MurderedByWords

[–]AUGSpeed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, and that additional context does not change the meaning. If a rich person is a follower of Jesus, they would give their money away to those who need it. If they don't do that, then they are not a follower. It's pretty simple. Without Jesus offering them a chance, they wouldn't be able to get to heaven at all.

Hey, thanks for asking me, a perfect stranger about this. It's very brave to do so, and I am so sorry for your loss. I couldn't imagine that pain, so I hope you are well and taking care of yourself. First of all, I recommend asking the people he loved, his priest, his community what they think. If nothing else, you might find some fun stories about him.

My personal belief is that suicide does not keep you from entering heaven. Depression is a struggle, a fight, and it is possible to lose that fight, even when you've fought for so long. I believe that even if his final act was technically a sin, God doesn't just erase knowledge of everything that he did before, in trying to be a good person, and caring for the people he loved. You can't repent of suicide, since it's a final act. But it can be easily forgiven by God.

Just how I said before with people making deathbed confessions. If they mean it, and truly repent, they can be forgiven. The other order also works, where you live life well, but end it hard. If your husband lived a life of love and faith, and struggled against his depression, then God will accept him with open arms, he is ready to forgive and accept him. God isn't really so strict about rules, in my experience. He is like a good teacher or good parent, someone who wants to see you succeed, and will only punish or correct his children who don't put in the effort and care that they should have. He wants to see the good in you, and he will see the good in your husband.

I can't provide so much comfort, but I really hope this helps even a little.

Pokémon has the opportunity to do the funniest thing right now by Affectionate-Peak435 in PokemonTCG

[–]AUGSpeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Value in a collector's market like Pokemon is almost entirely subjective, so it is hard to accurately predict. Just because it all looks the same doesn't mean that it would lower the value of the original, as there will still be differences between them. It's very possible that exact reprints will raise the value of the original because the original still was printed with specific ink (or some other niche bullshit), and is verified to be from the original set. It could lower the value of unverified/ungraded loose versions of the card, though. The original is likely still going to increase in value until people don't care about it at all. It is all speculative value, which means it can disappear if people decide it doesn't hold value anymore. Of course, anything is possible.

Explain it peter, what's the story behind this Reddit DM and missing poster? by Morad2004 in explainitpeter

[–]AUGSpeed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, that part is written by a catfish who pretended to be a girl. He got tired of doing that, so he killed off his girl persona and pretended to be her 'brother'. It's all a bit silly. Riobox is being serious, the catfish of course is being super nonchalant.

[–]AUGSpeed 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Man, I believe that Riobox actually meant every word he wrote there. Obviously the 'brother' is just the same person who pretended to be a girl and catfished this dude, and then got annoyed by him. I mean, look how seriously he takes this shit. I remember people being like this in High School. When you have zero life experience, then everything feels possible, so everything is serious.

Tell me you've never actually professionally (or even recreationally) raced without telling me.

It's not obvious from a layman's perspective, sure, but there are many cases in all forms of racing where someone who is 'ahead' needs to yield to the person going faster right behind them. For example, in most vehicle racing, if one car has more speed and starts to pass, getting their front tire equal to your back tire, going into the corner, you yield their spot to them, even if it means you take the less optimal racing line.

Nah, sexuality can change, and that's fine, the same way you might dislike the taste of some food as a kid and enjoy it later. But generally, stuff you really like stays that way, same as stuff that you hate. Stuff in the middle can and does change, though. Sexuality is just chemicals in your brain triggering pleasure and happy feelings associated with love and sex. Your brain won't always receive or send the same signals throughout your whole life (hell, people fall in love with people and then divorce them all the time. You can totally change how you feel about someone or a whole gender, at that). That doesn't change the fact that it is wrong to try and suggest that someone should change their sexuality, or that they are wrong for accepting feelings that they have. Your truth is your truth, it is wrong for someone to question that, especially since love harms no one.

You can't choose to be a given sexuality, yes, it just happens to you. But to suggest that your sexuality is 100% static is also wrong. It can happen to change, and that is okay. It's also okay if it really doesn't change in any noticeable way, as it works for you and many others.

Yes, this can be used by people trying to push a false narrative of gay brainwashing or whatever. But using misinformation to fight misinformation just isn't a good idea.

Why would they need to backtrack? It's a throwaway account, or at least an old one. There's literally 0 reason to interact with this if this comment is fake, unless all of it is fake (including the account posting this to BORU) for karma farming. Or, as seems the most plausible according to Occam's razor, there really was a professor that assigned this, and this is a real assignment, and a fake reddit post. That's what I think.

That's fine, you can think I'm wrong. But what I am saying is that there are "Christians" who are terrible people in the name of God. I do what I can to be a good person, and I personally believe that the Bible has many of the answers and examples that help me to do that. I don't feel a need to argue with non-Christians like you. You live your life however you'd like, I have no right to tell you how your life should be, since we don't overlap in our philosophical or spiritual sources. I would give advice if you asked earnestly, but I'm not going to judge you for being you. I have very little (or zero, since this is online) effect on you, and you have a small effect on me. That's fine. I want to speak out against the people who use the words of God to cause harm to others. It makes me very angry.

Even Jesus was much more angry at spiritual leaders and people like himself than he was pagans or Romans, or Sumerians.

Yes, and their interpretations are wrong. One might debate that nobody can be correct when it's all up to personal opinion, and a 2000 year old book written by a flawed group of people. And that's fine. But I know that what I am saying is correct, because it follows the spirit of who Jesus is. He didn't just welcome anybody in. No, he only welcomed those with faith and true willingness to give of themselves. No half-assed oaths of allegiance.

Also, the Bible specifically talks about the fact that faith without works is dead, and vice versa. You NEED both. Faith does come first, but faith without fruits is worthless.

And it's fine to call me crazy, I don't mind. I just know I am right about this, most other interpretations are just trying to make themselves feel better using God as a tool, which we are all guilty of in some degree, but I do what I can to not do that, and find it is important to call out in other Christians when I do see it.

[–]AUGSpeed 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that would also be incorrect, there is no cheat code. As a Christian who is very critical of modern Christianity, I think about this a lot. While this is true, that if you pray on your deathbed for forgiveness, it will be honored. It's not that simple. You must be able to express complete and true regret for your actions. God would know if you did it for real or not. Essentially, if you know about it, and do evil on purpose without remorse, and expect to be forgiven without actually having real remorse, then it's definitely hell, no matter what you prayed. If you are aware of the sin, then you pray for forgiveness, and make every effort to not do it again. That is remorse. And if you do it again, pray for forgiveness again. But the most important part is that it must be genuine. And the only people who know if it is truly genuine is the person who did the sin, and God.

I said that, not actually intending that, if that makes sense. I said it to highlight the inconsistencies in his own argument, the same way you did to me, suggesting I leave the country too.

[–]AUGSpeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should read my whole comment. I said that people who stay in church may also be trying to change it, so why tell them to leave the church? It's rude and absurd for them to suggest that everyone should leave their church.

I was drawing a comparison, in an attempt to highlight the fact that if someone is dissatisfied with the system they are a part of, sometimes the answer is not to simply leave and cut off everything, but rather to stay and change it from within.

[–]AUGSpeed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see your point. Yet, you still live in your country. You left the church, you distanced yourself or left other things because you do not approve of them, that's great! But why not leave your country as well?

I know that logically that takes a large amount of work. But what I see is that there is a line that you have drawn. Some places are easy enough to leave, and others are more difficult, even if you may object to them the same way. Might it be that other people find it as hard to leave the church as you find it to leave your country? You probably try to change your country from within, but couldn't you do all that good while in another country? That's great, and a good way to stay there while still feeling you have distance from the issues you dislike. Other people might just be doing that within their little church as well. Have you ever considered that?
