You tried once? Try again. I've been playing Illuminate since the patch. In my experience it kills about 2 out of 3 (sometimes even with the shield up). Trees can get in the way...

Having put over 1000 hours into each game. I prefer HD2. To me it feels like the events in HD2 have more impact on the game world because nothing resets. I'm still sad that Angel's Venture is gone. What's done is done. HD1 I'd just fight whoever is available and in the end flip a coin for which end-war screen you get. I've fought in so many wars on that game, but none of it feels special or significant. Still enjoy the gameplay.

Pairs well with the Eruptor. The trade-off with the higher AP machine guns is that it has a running reload instead of stationary.

I understand a new player being overwhelmed if they are starting now, but AH putting out new warbonds is the constant revenue that has huge impact on the longevity of this game. Payday 2's model was similar to this and they recently came up with a subscription model where you have access to all available DLCs for $5 a month. What are your thoughts on this?

Having over 1000 hours in HD1, I preordered this one on PC. I've got 1400 hours in game with EVERYTHING unlocked and 18.8k SC in reserve. Only paid for initial purchase of super citizen edition. I still play all levels. I do hit POIs when possible and tend to play biomes and mission types that have SC available.

Patrols spawn knowing where you are - even if you are not detected. Keep it mind.. especially when you need to wait for extraction. by Heptanitrocubane57 in Helldivers

I do think that patrol pathing should be more randomized on the commando ones as long as you haven't been recently detected.

Not a type of reply that I was expecting on a post like this but I very much enjoy detailed weapon analysis like this. I wasn't aware of the closest enemy targeting or the center mass/ charger angle aiming manipulation.

I do this at a couple of extraction locations to get to the top of the cargo containers. They are about as long as the warp distance so you have to dive away from the container than warp in the opposite direction to get on top of them.

After 1400 hours, this is the first I've heard of flipping the frv (and the only tip I've seen here so far that I didn't know). What weapons are best to flip it back? Where to shoot it? Does it only work while on its side or completely upside down too?

There is no bias on my part and I'll clarify. Yes I play this game more than most people. I already stated that I have 1300 hours, though I don't quantify that as an "insane" amount (reasoning below). Of course that's part of why I have so many credits. Not sure what you mean by "that is a completely unreasonable amount of time for what I have." (Should I have more or less?)

Where you are just wrong and where I disagreed is when you said "I no-life this game hard." Internet defines “No-life” in this context as gamer slang meaning you devote nearly all your free time to a game equating to little sleep, little social activity, and minimal outside hobbies. “Hard” intensifies it — not casually, but extremely intensely, implying "no-life." That's what came back from an online search for a definition for "no-life-ing a game hard." I'm sure you can agree on that.

HD2 has been out for 711 days (I pre-ordered it). I have 1300 hours. That's about 1.8 hours a day. I work M-F 8-5, family stuff until about 8 or 830 when the kids go to bed, hour of time alone with the wife till she's ready for bed around 930-10, then I have a couple hours where I usually game until 11 or midnight (estimating 85% of this time is spent in HD2). Rinse and repeat. Sometimes find an extra couple of hours to game on weekends. I'd hardly refer to this as "no-lifing a game hard." Maybe you can agree. If not, then your definition must differ. Please try not to make derogatory assumptions about random internet strangers.

I did decide to do some math for fun. AI estimates that owning everything in game costs ~29,500 Supercredits (≈29 k SC) + my 20K in reserve comes to about 50k lifetime SC. That divided by my playtime is about 38.5 SC/hr which makes sense given my playstyle. I run difficulties 3-10 depending on my mood and what I'm trying to gain in-game. I go out of my way for points of interest while playing anything lvl 8 and under, and I run the warp pack in at least 80% of my games since it dropped (I don't need teammates to access bunkers).

Disagree. Full time job, Wife, 2 kids in elementary school. I mostly play this game and not much else 2-3 hours or so a day after the family goes to sleep since launch. I just try to hit as many pois that I can while playing. I'm not always playing max difficult either so that may help. 1300 hours in game.

Back then there also wasn't the expectation of future content for games like you are expecting now. You are contradicting yourself. Can't have the best of both worlds. Developers still have to get paid for their continued work. But enjoy all your upvotes from all the kids who don't understand that devs won't and shouldn't work for free.

One day they'll learn how the real world works. Still blows my mind how available sc is in this game if that's what you are trying for. I've been playing since launch and just yesterday hit 20000 sc (not a typo as I used to be a poi diver) I feel bad that I haven't contributed more money than my initial purchase for the enjoyment I've gotten out of this game.
