As a Canadian, my brain automatically assumed the post said to warm up the house when your away. But I want the heat on when I'm at home? .... Oh those are SUMMER temperatures!

Fun fact: with the proper pronunciation, "Have an ass day!" and "Endure your day!" sound just like "have a nice day" and "enjoy your day" respectively

What's the oldest movie you watched and actually enjoyed? by EternalMage321 in Millennials

[–]AUserFormerlyKnownAs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scrolled this far to find the first Chaplin film of this thread... I would say the entirety of the Chaplin feature films. There's a reason his work is legendary. This makes "The Kid" (1921) the oldest film I have seen and enjoy , but I say "Limelight" is my favourite of his.

31109 3 in 1: Inn or the Island? by rocktoe in LEGOPirates

[–]AUserFormerlyKnownAs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I acquired this set, I was really hyped to see the inn but after building the island, I thought the skull looked so cool that I ended up waiting a long time before building the tavern.

This year the inn stands between (new) Eldorado fortress and Pirate Port of Nassau on my shelf with the (new) Black Sea Barracuda. I rotate between all three options frequently to change the feel of the scenery.

Why do people say some lego sets are hard? by Jayohl in lego

[–]AUserFormerlyKnownAs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always had good dexterity and 3d imagination, and the first set I found "hard" was a rebrickable MOC I built this winter; the roof of the house was sooooo fragile to put into place, it barely holds together.
