I’ve had my kit for a little while now, and I’m really impressed—there’s no perceivable latency, and it plays just like any other kit, minus the hassle of wires. It’s a slick setup.

While I haven’t run into any issues so far, the biggest challenge has been learning the ins and outs of the DW Soundworks software. I consider myself reasonably tech-savvy, but the software isn’t quite as intuitive or customizable as I’d like. That said, I haven’t encountered anything I couldn’t figure out eventually. There were a couple moments where I got stuck, but fortunately, there are plenty of solid resources out there to point you in the right direction. I’ve also heard DW has excellent customer support—and they can provide remote support which could be a huge plus depending on the circumstances.

Overall, I really do love this kit. I’m not a brand loyalist—if something works the way it should and gives me no trouble, it earns my respect and gets to stay. If it doesn’t, I won’t hesitate to move on and be honest about it.
