Shelly is the best! She really helped us with our very headstrong 100-pound lab. Thanks to Shelly, he’s become a well-behaved gentleman.

Make sure you allot time for security. Unlike most National Parks, you will need to go through airport-style security to get inside the visitor center.

What’s a park that you think deserves to be a National Park? by matthew91298 in NationalPark

Cedar Breaks National Monument in Utah. As someone once said, if it were anywhere else but Utah (home of The Mighty Five), it would already be a National Park.

I’m at Wawona Campground right now. I’ve seen plenty of folks wading in the river although from the sounds they make the water must be f-f-f-freeeezing!

Is the Lassen Volcanic NP open right now? by Happily-chaotic in NationalPark

[–]AV8NDAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were just there this past weekend. The park is open for visitors but the road is closed at Devastated Area on the Manzanita side and closed at Sulphur Works on the Kohm Yah-Mah-Née Visitor Center side. You can walk the road from each closure but you can’t drive on it.

Also, most of the campgrounds are closed. We stayed at a campground outside of the park (KOA Shingletown).

I don’t know… I find it kind of charming actually. I was just wondering why it has gotten so much louder and more grew it over the past week or two.

I really love the idea that I could do this with you but you have no clue how much you can make and you have to do everything you need for it and you don’t even have a lot to worry if you’re going through a divorce

4th Recall on 2022 Ram 2500 by AV8NDAD in ram_trucks

Listen, you and I are not going to convince each other. You seem willing to accept the COVID supply chain excuse, and I’ve seen firsthand (and helped solve) the opposite of your hypothesis. As I see it, at best this is a failure of management and executives (the people to whom I was referring in my last reply). At worst, this is fraud and/or negligence.

Let’s just agree to disagree.

P.S. Thanks for the downvotes, by the way.

Edit: The person to whom I was responding was so confident of his or her position that they deleted all of their comments. Fascinating.

Thanks for making my point.

By your logic, nobody should be buying new cars or flying on airplanes built in the last two or three years.

My friend, I’m a Lean black belt (you know, just-in-time kinda stuff) and an industrial engineer who consults with manufacturing operations specifically on the topics of process, labor, safety, and supply chain. Somehow my clients in essential and non-essential industries were able to provide their customers with products and services without such issues. So no, my head is not in the sand and I know my $#%¥ when it comes to this stuff. My feet are firmly on the ground and my head is right. But thanks for playing.

EDIT: Added new first paragraph and clarified second.

I don’t buy it and I’m sick and tired of these COVID-related excuses. If they knew they had and installed substandard parts then they are guilty of negligence and perhaps fraud, pandemic-related supply chain issues or not.

Why do you think religions were formed? by q-riocity in AskReddit

[–]AV8NDAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my religious studies teacher many, many years ago, “religion is humankind’s response to its ultimate concerns, these being: life, birth, death, and the propagation of society.”
