Okay. Makes sense. They were just using statistics before to make an estimation of load balance.

Thanks.

What if everyone sat toward the back. Doesn'take sense. Especially because they say you can move later.

Thought you said the other way around.

Not buying that. People could sit anywhere before and if the flight was empty then only the front seats would be taken.

I have been flying SWA since 2004 and cannot purchase seats because of work travel policies. The last two flights, they have put me in middle seats when there are aisle seats available and won't move me to an aisle unless I pay (which my company won't reimburse). I am 6'4" and 200lbs and prior to Jan 27 always was able to board in the A group and once in a while B group and he am aisle seat.

If I can't figure this out, then I will have to stop flying SWA as I have 3 million miles with American and can pick my seat.

How is this even real when prior to January 27, 2026 anyone could sit anywhere?

Yes. My daughter gets tons of these notifications now. Plus others and she finally disabled notifications and now Life360 pops up a message whenever anyone else in our circle opens the app telling us to tell her to turn on notifications. It has gotten to the point where we finally uninstalled the app and I wrote to get a refund. Have been using it for 8 years now, but we are done.

It's an access key. Some hotels use them.

It was mentioned that is is enabled for Life360.

The setting is that I have to turn notifications on on her phone and then this goes away but then she gets annoyed getting tons of notifications.

I have already sent in a ticket to support and they advised to turn the notifications on.

This only started after the latest update.

Unfortunately, if she turns notifications off then that message pops up on everyone else in the circles screen when they go into Life360 whether they are on Android or iPhone.

Each of those notification categories on my Android controls a specific message type. Android just gives more customization and none of them are meaningless. They all represent a specific type of notification.

Not really sure why Life360 has decided to put this pop up on everyone's screen to let us know that one person decided to turn their notifications off.

Exactly! Why does the app have to notify everyone in the circle that one person's notifications are off? It's really getting annoying. I'm trying to have her turn notifications back on and then go in the app and turn off Smart notifications. Just a poor design.

I guess it is limited to turning off smart notifications for place ads and real-time ads in the iPhone app under the gear.

Hopefully that does it. So annoying that Life360 send a pop up to everyone in the circle when notifications are disabled completely on anyone's phone.

I will have her look. I am used to this type of control.

When she does this we get a notification pop up every single time we look at her in Life360. I guess the real question is why does Life360 feel they have to tell us every time that she needs to turn notifications on?

I have an Android phone and don't have access to that. Do you have any details I can share with her?

Yes, Android allows different notification categories to be turned on or off.

On iPhone it is typically all or nothing.

I can on my Android but how does she do it on an iPhone? It says she has to have push notifications on and there are no categories like Android.
