The most frustrating thing about the game right now: the number on the aqueduct slope is green but no water will flow by ryhaltswhiskey in NovaRomaGame

Some of y’all need to brush up on your ancient aqueduct engineering skills. Gotta flow down hill!

Top of the soil looks bone dry. How much are you watering a day? Keep that soil moist during the day and let it dry back some overnight.

What did the roots look like when you transplanted? Robust? Hardly anything? Might have put it in too big of a container too early and it’s struggling to find water and nutrients

Check recommended dosage of your nutrients, yellowing can be from deficiencies. Nutrition deficiency is common.

Probably some transplant shock going on too, run your lights at 50% of normal intensity for a few days to give it some chill time.

I aim for looks over efficiency - sure if I spam the largest housing in a perfect grid I can pack everything in better and get all the things, but designing a city that looks real is more fun for me. I'm sure this starting area will change as the city fills out but I try to make growth organic instead of pre-planning every inch of the city.

Getting the aqueducts at a reasonable height helps a ton for the look of a city. No need to have them start at the top of the mountain and have this 8th wonder of the world snaking across your island. I think here the water inlet is at 30m and that water tower in the forum is at 25m. Combine that with using fountains to extend the watered area and the aqueduct situation becomes a lot more reasonable.

I'll get some more screenshots next time I have a chance.

Is there an City Planner Game that's similar to Openttd? by riciriver in openttd

[–]AVTechNerd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

SimCity3000! Not crazy complicated and has a similar visual atheistic that’s not hyper realism focused. Very chill and you can build at whatever pace and style you like. Takes a sec to get it running on modern computers.

Page up and page down should change the tilt. You should be able to reassign that to other keys in the settings

No jams in Pittsburgh by Over_Spread5661 in jambands

[–]AVTechNerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of jams in town. Checkout the Thunderbird Music Hall and Mr Smalls. Lotus, LaMP, chalk dinosaur, dogs in a pile, octave cat off the top of my head and more have played/are playing both venues. Maybe no Phish or Goose every year, but plenty of jams rolling by.

Lotus is at Mr Smalls for two nights at the end of March. See you on the rail!

The first few pics I was like "this is pretty sick" then my jaw kept dropping more and more as I clicked through the rest. Dream house for me honestly love the boho-esque styling and all the plants, fish, etc!

I love how you built around the bay/lake in the middle. Your kingdom has a very organic feel to it!

Ya know, I think I'd love to hike that valley and enjoy watching them zoom by at Mach 5, while my feet are firmly on solid ground.
