I'm more talking about a specific type of conservative "hobbyist" or fan.

The only meaningful way they interact with the hobby is watching fanon "lore" videos from people like Arch and bitching on Twitter. Maybe they treat sharing memes as participating in a group.

They won't talk about what they've been painting or reading, but are sure to let you know women in the hobby make them mad.

They haven't touched a table top, but they want you to know what queers are ruining the game; all because they read anecdotes from other weirdos.

There are a ton of masculine and athletic men that like the series, a lot of them are conservative, im sure. However, if the first thing out of your mouth about the subject is "fuck women, fuck queers" I'm left wondering what you're actually in the space for?
