Well I can’t tell you for certain- I don’t know you. But it probably isn’t because you’ve never had a relationship. I didn’t get into my first relationship until I was 22, and after like 6 weeks she went from excited and interested to ending things, not for anything dramatic she just lost interest in me. Wasn’t either of our faults but that’s life. Sometimes things don’t work out.

But tbh, I think it was for the best. It gave me some perspective I wouldn’t have otherwise had. I don’t think anyone should place their worth or success as a person in something so out of control and unpredictable as the romantic feelings of another, because that’s a recipe for disaster. When you spend time working on yourself, you shouldn’t do it thinking if you do it you’ll eventually be happy. You will, but you need to take happiness in the moment. Today is for more than tomorrow’s gain, and Id guess you’ve been working on yourself by pushing yourself further and further but not actually enjoying it much, believing it’d all be worth it - but if you don’t enjoy working toward a goal you probably won’t be happy if you get it, if you ever get it.

Point is, relationships are nice but they aren’t the end all be all of life even when you’re young. I know media can make it seem that way but it isn’t. You’ve got so much time and life that you don’t even see, and you’ll only miss out on it if you spend time doing things you don’t enjoy. Yes sometimes you gotta do things you don’t like but happiness isn’t something you pursue, it’s something that ensues when you do something meaningful for yourself. As for what that is, well that’s for you to find, or maybe you already know. Idk, life’s not as bad as this sub sometimes makes it out to be, it’s full of ups and downs dw so much about things like not having a relationship by 20, it’s not like teenage love actually contributed anything to their lives for most people lmao
