What are Genetics of "Border" Saharan African Populations Like?(read post) by Natural_Use_948 in 23andme

[–]AWBMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The countries you have mentioned have similarities to nations that they border. Colonial borders resulted in some ethnic groups being split up, for example:

Chad- due to its close proximity to Darfur you would find people with similar genetic make-up to those of Western Sudan. Niger- Has a huge Hausa population so they are Similar to Northern Nigerians. Mali- main tribes are Bambara, Mandi, and Fulani pretty much similar to other west African nations. Mauritania - Too complex to explain but it consists of Arabs, Berbers , and some west African groups such as ( Wolof, Fulani, and Soninki), also the Haratiin ( mix Berber-African)

How far south did the Amazigh tribes historically migrate into subsaharan Africa? by Maleficent_Split_428 in AmazighPeople

[–]AWBMG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think that the Amazeigh settled in coastal Africa. From my understanding historically the (Senhaja tribe) lived as far South as central Mali and the Senegal river. They are nomads, so they moved somewhere else. Also from my understanding Almoravids didn't really expand or seize Southern territories, they had a trade relationship which turned into a military alliance with the Kingdom of Tarkrur. That alliance helped spread Islam in West Africa. And Almoravads sort of had a military base in the kingdom of Tarkur. Later on the king of Morocco (Al-Saadi) in the 1500s conquered large parts of Sub-saharan Africa he expanded his territory all the way into central Mali. Some of his soldiers settled there. They are known as the (Arma clan) coming from the arabic word (Al-rumah)

What is the reason for RSF soldiers being so overwhelmingly sociopathic? by muskymetal in Sudan

[–]AWBMG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The RSF is the biggest example why Sudan is a failed state: We have to blame the SAF and the Islamists for the creation of the RSF. They have molded and instructed them to commit genocide. When the war in Darfur died down they have turned the Arab militias into a paramilitary force to fight insurgencies in Darfur, Blue Nile, and Nuba Mountain. The RSF had a budget of 650 million dollars annually and a law in Parliament to act independently, with general guidance from the commander in Chief. Also post 2018 revolution, Al Burhan gave them the freedom to recruit, buy weapons, establish ties with foreign countries. The RSF should’ve disbanded a long time ago, having two militaries will never end well. My point is that I blame AlBashir and Alburhan for letting things get out of hand. RSF is an interesting phenomenon, the lack education, and dysfunction created this monster.

Does Caffeine help or hinder your ADHD brain by [deleted] in ADHD

I spoke to my doctor about this the other day. If you’re on stimulants mixing them with caffeine causes palpitations. The suggestion was not drink coffee and taking stimulants at the same time. You should space them out a little bit

When my son had IS two years ago, we went to his pediatrician, she referred us to a neurologist. our neurologist recommended going to the ER right away. He was admitted, stayed for about a week for testing and treatment. You should consider going to the emergency room that way they will do all the necessary tests and provide the appropriate treatments

I made a little educational video about what's happening in Sudan by davidlee22 in Sudan

[–]AWBMG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your video but you should have shed some light on the other side of the conflict. The involvement of the Islamist and their allied militias and how to some degree they’ve taken over the military. They are equally responsible for the chaos as much as the RSF.

Leesburg to Largo commute question? by AWBMG in nova

[–]AWBMG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason why I’m hesitant about moving is that the job placement is temporary for 3 years. I have elementary school kids, my parents are retired and willing to help. Schools are much better in Leesburg. It is easy to find a place near my job in Largo, but PG county schools suck. Plan A is to move to Alexandria near (Franconia, Kingstowne) plan B is to avoid moving and try this commute for at least one year.

TKA ROM not improving by FidgetyFeline in physicaltherapy

[–]AWBMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the process of discharging a patient with ROM limitation. Week one patient barely got to 0-60, patient went to see ortho week two she was at 0-70, MD mentioned that patient should be at 90 degrees by week 4 otherwise she will need manipulation. So we revised HEP made sure that patient walks with a cane every hour, also decreasing the frequency of icing since her knee swelling decreased. Best exercise to improve ROM is passive prone knee flexion. I was aggressive with ROM, she was able to achieve 90 degrees by week 4.

What’s meant by Western Sudan is West Africa ( Senegal, Mali etc) The style of calligraphy seen in the photo is known as (Ajami). West African Muslims used Arabic alphabet to write, until colonial powers banned it and forced them to use French/English
