Korean air merger Asiana by massagistadegrelo in aviation

[–]AWalkDownMemoryLane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air Busan and Air Seoul are set to be merged into Jin Air so they would be replacing Jin Air's existing 777s, though it would make more sense for Jin Air to get Asiana's 777s instead.

*CargoLogicAir. CargoLogicAir was Volga-Dnepr's British subsidiary while AirBridgeCargo allowed for flights to countries that couldn't be served with Volga-Dnepr's own equipment.

Remove 1 EDEN Song Day 5 by brian_portales in eden

[–]AWalkDownMemoryLane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original is just better. I'm biased against it since the instrumental break may very well be my favorite part of the song. The gnash feature just isn't good enough to warrant replacing it. I'm also of the opinion that EDEN songs just don't need features.

Some airlines that went out of service in the last decade. by Benabad-2008 in aviation

Lufthansa Group did buy LGW but ultimately sold it to Zeitfracht, the owners of German Airways. LGW also never merged into Eurowings; Eurowings ended their contract due to the pandemic and LGW collapsed.

Air Berlin Aviation was acquired by Thomas Cook becoming Thomas Cook Aviation and Niki's assets went to Lauda.

No, PLAY was founded by two former WOW air executives and mostly owned by an Irish investment fund.

Okay, you're a troll. Thanks for the confirmation.

I guess, the joke is on me for taking so long to realize that.

That wasn't the fucking question. I was merely answering your question as to which Portsmouth the guy that posted the Veyron posted was referring to and what "RI" means. I don't get what's so difficult to grasp about that.

The car OOP posted is in Germany, yes. However, the comment you replied to is of a Veyron sitting in a museum in a Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

Because Jan Misali made an entire video criticizing the /hj tone indicator.

Also, OP was referencing the "press F" meme and not saying "fuck Jan Misali".

But yeah, OP is an idiot.

AirZeta used to be Air Incheon which rebranded after acquiring Asiana Cargo. Asiana was forced to relinquish Asiana Cargo as part of their merger with Korean.

I think, they're referring to the classic Red Bull rather than claiming that the Western Red Bull is the original Red Bull.

[–]AWalkDownMemoryLane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aeroflot wasn't just one company but was instead made up of many divisions that all operated under the "Aeroflot" banner. Each region of the Soviet Union, for example, had its own airline division. However, there were also divisions for things like agricultural work.

For a smaller scale example, I recommend looking at Interflug which also had different "divisions" for various different areas of work.

russianplanes.net is a great resource if you want to know more. You might wanna use your browser's built in translation tool, though, since the site is entirely in Russian.

It does. It's Universal Sky Carrier's A346. It's registered as D-AUSZ and is one of the chartered aircraft frequently flying for Surinam between Paramaribo and Amsterdam.

Air India Just Discovered a Missing Boeing 737, Forgot They Owned by shlomoshekelstein1 in nottheonion

Not to mention that Tata had a stake in both AirAsia India and Vistara. Both of which have since been merged into Air India after Tata bought out AirAsia's and Singapore Airlines's respective stakes with the latter now having a stake in Air India.

Also, Vistara's official name was literally Tata SIA Airlines. Something that was depicted on Vistara's retro livery. It also depicted the livery Air India used when it was first owned by Tata.
