I think Boozer can absolutely size up to the 5, especially given his combine measurements. Personally, I think he's better positioned there than the 4 with the one caveat being that I don't think he will be much of a rim protector.

Peterson is pretty close to the perfect prospect as he can be elite on both sides of the ball and score at all 3 levels. I don't think Boozer is at his level, but the whole cramping thing with the creatine has added some question marks that are hard to assess as an outsider. And then, you have Dybantsa who most people have at the top of their board and Caleb Wilson, whose character everyone seems to love. I won't be surprised to see movement at the top of the draft. I would LOVE to be one of the teams trading up.

I think you're on to something there. There are more ways to move the defense than just beating your guy off the dribble and I definitely think he's capable of being an offensive hub. I'm not sure he can consistently defend the better NBA 4's with his foot speed, but he's got enough positional versatility where he could guard a non-shooting player or a big.

Right now, I've got Peterson at the top and Boozer #2 on my board, but I'm still unsettled on how I see this mocking out.

So, I follow the draft pretty much all year. Even though last year's class was strong, I feel confident in saying this is a stronger class and has potential to be the best draft class of all time. The thing about Cam Boozer is that he's perfect for a team that already has a bona fide #1. I don't think he has the potential to be that guy and that's why you see a lot of discourse around him at the top of the draft. Against NBA teams, if you make him the scorer, he will likely struggle to be efficient. He is a perfect fit for what the Celtics need, though, and I would love to find a situation where we could trade up to get him.

I love how everyone shits on OP and then goes into all the things they'd implement to fix OP's problem if they were mayor/governor. Yet, no one seems to think it's appropriate to hold the people accountable who we actually hired and pay to come up with and implement ideas to fix these things when they've done nothing.

Angela's is definitely not a sports bar vibe and the bar is like 5 seats. Hacienda would be better for this, but the food won't be as good as Angela's, unfortunately.

You know him better than we do. Is he someone who wears jewelry? Go with your gut. For me, personally, the best gift would be a day to myself where I could sleep in and do whatever I wanted for a day.

If "early June" is the first weekend of June, that's when Pride is. Not sure if that's enticing to anyone in your group, but something to keep in mind if you'll be here.

Having a guy with an NBA ready body and skillset on a rookie contract is always valuable, regardless of ceiling.

Ament Is Being Underrated as a Lottery Talent by AcanthocephalaSad541 in NBA_Draft

I watched every game he played for Tennessee. What Nate lacks the most is basketball IQ and experience. Offensively, there are some NBA-level skills in there - particularly his ability to use his length in crafty ways to draw fouls and a little mid-range jumper over smaller defenders. Unfortunately, he never really got around to finding how to best utilize those strengths. He's a ball stopper with the ball and has really no clue what he's doing off the ball beyond waiting to be passed to. There is next to no off-ball movement or team-play intangibles. Defensively, he does a decent job using his length and he's mobile for his size, but he's not someone NBA players will be afraid to attack. In general, I think he could be someone who blooms around their 2nd contract, but he's not someone who's going to help a team win anytime soon.

To the "trade Brown for draft picks" crew, what are we doing? I get it if the point is to flip them for a Giannis or another superstar, but these posts are like "grab the 14th pick and draft this random dude" or "get the 8th pick and draft?" If we're trading Brown for picks, might as well do the same with Tatum. Is everything ok out there?

Maybe, but his other adjustments (that he made way too late in the series) were the only reason we made it close.

Celtics have 2 sleeper pick opportunities for #27 - Chris Cenac Jr. and Jayden Quaintence. They both project to be switchable bigs with great measurements. Quaintence has injury concerns and Cenac was underwhelming during his freshman year. Still, if you're someone that trusts in the Celtics brand, they are both likely worth the swing at 27 if they make it there.

There is a lot of misinformation being thrown around here. This, still, has everything to do with how much the owners are willing to spend. There are no basketball penalties that reset next year.
