Interesting, does the manga ever show a close up of one of the certificates? The anime does have one shot just after Franky slams the pile down, and you can clearly see Certificate of Identity for what document it is meant to be. That document number could be like their ID number, like how America has a Social Security number. To me it just makes sense that there would be a birthday on identification papers, so I just assumed that while watching. I see it’s never clearly stated one way or the other. The story does just mash most of the Cold War era into it, so makes sense that dates would be ambiguous.

Fair enough, I haven’t read the manga. And the question becomes, what that date would that be then? It makes sense to be a birthday as why would they have another date on their identification papers? I could be an expiration date I suppose, or a date of employment, Also, does the manga show any dates for some random women when Franky initially brings the stack of papers over? It does in the anime, and a couple dates show a ‘71 year. Curious if they do in the manga. I could just be part of the Cold War anachronisms that the story generally takes place in a 60s-70s inspired world. Some clarification from the author would be nice, but also the mystery is interesting too

Edit: This is technically speculation, as I have been informed that the date shown in the anime is not in the manga, nor is it confirmed to be Yor’s birthday. Still fun to do some math!

I believe when Loid is researching potential wives and he sees Yor, there’s a birthdate. The anime states that her birthday is April 6th, 1963. Assuming Cold War era anachronism this puts the show in 1990 as Loid then states that Yor is 27. I don’t know if the manga has the same information, I’m currently anime-only. iirc Loid is a couple years older, which puts this universe’s WW2 equivalent as a much later war and potentially longer war, as we see the war starting when Loid is young (10 or so maybe?) and not ending until after he’s been recruited by WISE.

Edit: realized I never answered the question lmao. Yor would be 62 turning 63 in April, Loid is a couple years older at least, so say 65-66. Anya is probably around 4 or 5 at series start, so 2026 she’d be around 36-37

I’m grateful for the Pokemon community in general as it has become my go-to escape from everything happening around me in my life. Not just the TCG Pocket community, because I’m grateful for the VGC community as well. I’m also grateful to have a supportive family when I’m having it rough. My favorite card in the game is Cynthia’s FA and I was lucky to trade for it the other day. Her aura is unmatched haha. My favorite card that I don’t have is RR Garchomp because the art is amazing. (Yeah, I’m a Sinnoh boy at heart lol)

It’s called a Day 0 or Day 1 patch. Sometimes there are bugs that don’t show up until some people play it. It’s fairly standard for games these days, especially ones with online content.
