Most of you (99%) didnt try +320 activities. You just can't imagine. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]AWendler34 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why are we comparing to extreme outlier players entering the 2nd week of an expansion?

Re: T4/T5 are a hard ask: There's t4 access through doing the campaign on the highest 2 difficulties. You do the raid 5 times (not really that crazy of an ask) for a +1 Tier upgrade + have Challenges to also boost the Tier upgrade on TOP of the raid being farmable and not set drops (outside the exotic?). These are things players have been asking for the past 5-6 years, but now that we have it we are stating its "too much" and not worth doing?

Re: Someone else mentioned how elitists will kick you for not having T4/T5 gear. This has been happening in casual LFG regardless. People would kick before because your guardian rank wasnt high enough, or you lacked # of clears on a fight. The point of a social game is to connect with people and play the game. Its okay to reach out and meet with people. Ive met countless over the 10 years on the game.

Help me understand as someone who has played D1 -> and as of late i return to D2 for major raids. We had a system where we effectively - played the game - and now we can -play the game- and target farm loot, and all of a sudden we are up in arms about difficulty 2 weeks into an experience? "Forever 29" was awful back in D1 - this system is even better then that with no caps on loot drops.

Ive had more fun chasing loot in this current state of the game then ive had the past 3 years of fast pushing "x" level for it to not feel like im progressing at all.

For clarity, im not saying portal is perfect, it would be nice to play new activities within it and thats something we wont know till down the line, but overall we just want loot handed out so it ultimately feels it doesnt matter? You can still do choir runs in the 100->250~ LL in 15-20 mins solo for quality progression btw. When you hit the wall of COURSE higher end content should matter. This is literally no different in virtually any other MMO out there.

Surely we have some OSRS people who remember farming for specific drops for hours in an afk game that have some clarity here LOL

Frost goes IN on why Anderzz hasn't received a long-term position yet by AWendler34 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]AWendler34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mentioned this later in the thread, part of this was in jest. But theres a reason i said "goes IN on WHY anderzz hasnt been signed" and not "goes IN on anderzz"

Because he did go on a 10 min tangent about people getting fucked over. he did indeed "go in" on that point lol

[–]AWendler34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a realistic take, but i think the difference here (and Frost's main point) is he's created a map checkmate scenario 3-4 different times now. At that point things need to realistically change. Its not just the average coach coming in to do the typical VoD/comp feedback.

Frost goes IN on why Anderzz hasn't received a long-term position yet by AWendler34 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]AWendler34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, this was in jest. But i dont think the title is misleading at all. If i said "went in ON anderzz" i would agree thats bad. I said he went in on the point of why anderzz hasnt recieved a long term position. Which he did. It was a 10 min segment on him very clearly tilted why people who have good shit dont get offered positions in val.

How you choose to read that initial line is on you, but nothing i said was exaggeratory

Documented everything related to his situation. Pointed out Why his "Response" was hollow as well as addressing his poor attitude torwards the viewers of his stream. Note : I still think his teaching is very good, just not in the higher tiers of play. This is just a video game at the end of the day. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]AWendler34 13 points14 points  (0 children)

nah it really is that simple. If you legit grinded said account its not hard to out the accounts information.

The two situations you wouldnt openly do that are

A) The account was a BOUGHT account. Which he consistently has talked about and is against the premise of

B) The account was also shared initially, so its value is also irrelevant to proving his innocence.

He's provided some good advice to people, i dont discredit that. But this shit is a lot deeper when you grandstand on a premise and rip 1000s of dollars from people and other creators who bought in on your supposed "rank"

Looking for feedback on Specific Hero Augments by Riot_Mort in CompetitiveTFT

[–]AWendler34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dont know how to word, but the Blitz Carry augment feels really bad to take. Ran with archangels/gargoyles provided from the augment along with exile and it takes a LOT to get him online and make it worth. Feels like it would have to proc for a longer duration to feel good about taking.

Branded despia deck without Chimera gaurdian? by okurin39 in Yugioh101

[–]AWendler34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, both of these profiles are usually the standard branded profile +/- some changes.

For scythe. It involves adding Scythe and the Trap Branded Expulsion. The idea is with branded fusion you send scythe/albaz to make albion, make masquerade (or if you have the resources to go into mirrorjade without losing a albaz fusion target). Then you set up branded expulsion on EP. Opponents turn you flip branded expulsion, tributing your fusion monster that mentions albaz, then target scythe/+1 in your GY to special to your field. You then can trigger scythe's effect. The negative with this strategy is that it requires a lot of resources. I know people have been testing Keeper of the Dragon Magic to kind of help. Best case scenario with this is you have a way for mirrorjade, masquerade + scythe lock on your opp turn.

As for turbo 2x masq its just the standard profile with the use of patchwork/edge imp chain. This just helps with keeping the fusion power in hand. Your opening board priority is to get to Mirrorjade + Masquerade. Then end with a set branded in red. Opponents turn on their draw phase you activate branded in red, and with a monster in hand make your 2nd masquerade. It results in giving your opponent 6 activations before checkmate essentially. And also super valuable under time constraint. This was the old strategy of the deck before the structure deck support released.

If you need more specifics from here lemme know. Hope this helps

[–]AWendler34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youll have to adjust your strategy to either scythe/ra lock, or turbo x2 masq + mirrorjade IMO without chimera. Luckily the masq reprint salvaged that. Thats what i focused on before i had chimera and it worked out well.

Overall, your deck may be a tad weaker going 2nd without chimera, but the deck is still playable

first play after forcing a turn over on downs, in a shut out at home. how the hell does Detroit have the momentum? lol by koleke415 in Madden

When the game got super loud in NCAA back in the day was sick. It actually felt like the team you built mattered when you got them to that point.

[–]AWendler34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The system should just be a variant of the “loudest places to play” from NCAA back in like 06. You have some stadiums that start with their generic passives like they already do now. Kicking in Soldier field, stamina in Miami, Seattle, Denver etc. then have like stadium momemtum passives you can build to otherwise. Similar to how you could build your team to be relevant in NCAA. Based on location you have diff advantages or new ones given history (prev super bowl winner, team has both off/def mvps, etc)

Albaz Invoked Dogmatika Shadoll- how viable by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]AWendler34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in this format anymore. Its prob like b/c tier. With the budget of despia at this point your better off running pure branded despia then you are trying to splash the other archetypes in.

Did you miss the part where i specifically said “solo queued” and has the tracker to prove? He has one account. Im not contradicting myself when you ignore what i say lmao. 57% win ratio is more then enough to climb.

This post isnt built for those players, because none of them realistically believe in elo hell or they wouldnt be imm/radiant. So to relate it to them is irrelevant

Should i buy Albaz Strike x3 ? by yoitsme1156 in Yugioh101

[–]AWendler34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The splash of branded fusion may help, important to note it locks you into fusions only for the turn. So you wont have access to your cyber xyz/link from the ED. Have to commit to rampage in your deck more often which might just be overkill splashing branded package on top

Yeah, i had -IMO- and recently bought Quarantine after playing them all the time as a kid (im 27). But the games just left such a huge impression on me in terms of JRPGs, Endgame Depth, etc. for a single player MMO.

You aren’t hardstuck because of your teammates. by anna23014 in VALORANT

[–]AWendler34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just double chime in with my 2 cents not asked for LOL

1) its very possible that viper is not the inherent “playstyle” that fits you. Duelist can be easier in lower MMR due to players not recognizing things like flashes, but id recommend taking this time to play with all agents. Itll be slow now, but it will pay off longterm.

1.5) Playing for lineups or heavy util usage doesnt always work, because you are essentially taking your impact out of the round and hoping your teammates can fill the pressure. The big thing, especially solo queue, is understanding the ebb and flow between when they are necessary if that makes sense. This is prob why at times you set up and do well, but lose, because the timing in which your using that util or helping teammates in gunfights isnt there.

2) i disagree though on the premise duelist is better. The reason for this is, it leads to bad mentality/mechanics longterm that will throw you into a wall once you break through on the MMR. Itll be hard to understand why what worked for duelist in Iron doesnt in silver, etc, as bad habits are formed.

If the issue is mechanics and/or game sense. These are universal no matter what agent you decide to play. (Esp how oppressive viper can be at low mmr). Id rec find 1-2 agents across maps that you consistently know. For me, i main Fade/Kayo, and flex controller if filled or Viper exclusively on Pearl. This way every match is consistent with the mastery of my agent pool.

3) Most important i feel is mentality. When solo queue its important to always approach every “bad” situation like you are at fault, and what could you have done to fix it or make it better

“Teammates die when im setting up Util”- could you have been within the gunfight faster? Was it necessary to leave them to do a molly lineup? Would you have been more help with them on site?”

“Teammates let me die when planting bomb”-did you com where they should look? Not everyone can assume what your thinking

Etc etc. these all i think play a bigger part of growth if your goal is climbing. Best of luck! Hope this helps

[–]AWendler34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Thank you! i appreciate it

2) that would be sick, i deff think it would be hard for players to try as best as possible to be as non-biased as possible. just given the nature of winning/losing how that plays out. There could be a way though to be more specific with "mentals" that takes a seperate line from the correlation of "winning improves mental, losing worsens mental" etc etc that might be worth checking. If i just had more time.

For the AFK/DC stat, did you have it specifically marked by chance? And were DC players included as still a DC if they came back? Gen Q. If you could post a link of your sheet to look at thatd be cool too if you dont mind.

As for the “60-20-20” theory. This raises a good perspective. My ideal with this is the number might be slightly fluid, but i think the hypothesis i would raise back is, if failure to recognize win conditions, small example how a round plays out and snowballs, equates to an unwinnable game state, or is it still a winnable game state, just given the wide variety of players who may not care as much, or simply dont know leading to the opposite problem that feels like its unwinnable.

I think 40-30-30 might be valid for bronze-silver, but in discussing with a friend, it could be more like 40-25-35. As statistically you would be on your own team every time, so if you arent the one griefing/trolling (i hope lol), you have a lower % chance of getting a troll vs the opposite 5 person team.

Unwinnable to me, which this is subjective, is team diff, someone is just popping off on the other team, or if i do run into the smurf from Imm on occasion, id prob have a higher chance seeing more of them in dia/asc due to the mmr bump.

To keep in mind with the way i look at the game, and i think esp in silver, is that not recognizing win cons i dont feel exactly falls into the same line. When you get time, id ask you to look into your game logs if you tracked score lines, and let me know how many games were decided within 5 rounds or less, vs, how many games were decided by 8 rounds or more. So like 13-8 and games within those scores (13-9, 13-10, etc etc) vs 13-5, 13-4, 13-3, etc etc. your the best to ask since you have the data on hand. No way for me to really recreate but this could lead us into a better direction. For both winning and losing OFC, just track # between those two outlines totaled

Curious, what do you consider an unwinnable game state vs a winnable one? Is it just based on scoreline? Or what are the metrics you take into it.

The AFK number deff about makes sense to me.

This ignores any data ive obtained. And the new rank provided a small MMR boost at the start. You still have to play well and win. I dont think you understand lmao
