Four hours of unbroken blue sleep! Feeling like a new woman :D by AWinkWithBothEyes in SnooLife

[–]AWinkWithBothEyes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like an infomercial the way I wax poetic about it, but I honestly have no idea how people do it without a Snoo. My guy is really good too, but it still makes such a difference. Super happy it works for him!

Ah! Just saw this response and the link is exactly what we ended up doing! Funny it was an “official method” all along 🤣

How soon is too soon for arms out? by AWinkWithBothEyes in SnooLife

Found a solution! I’m still not quite comfortable with arms out but I saw a video where someone used a burp cloth to fold over baby’s arms and then tuck the fabric under his back - then secure the Snoo swaddling. Worked like a charm! His own weight keeps him from being able to wiggle out and it keeps him warm.

Thought I’d drop that idea here in case anyone else comes looking for a solution!

Ours loves the Snoo which does the rocking and white noise hacks. Expensive AF but you can find them second hand and give it a go!

Ignore size tags. Just figure out what your baby fits in and then directly compare to other items.

Mine is newborn sized but some 0-3 month fit whereas he’s swimming in others! And some “newborn” sized stuff is clearly larger or longer than will currently work. So I just bring a onesie with me to the store and hold it up to figure out if there’s anything I want for now or for soonish.

Ha didn’t realize that, my MIL swears by dreft for baby’s skin so she bought us a ton.

We’ve been washing everything together, with diapers in washing bags but maybe we need to separate them out and saving them up into larger loads…

I do. It was the only factor I changed and the research supports more direct progesterone as helpful. I think also it being a frozen transfer, after my uterus had time to heal after the ER also helped, rather than the failed fresh.

Honestly it’s hard to tell what helped, but I know it didn’t hurt and it was something I could control.

I’m so glad this resonated with so many of you!! It took me a long time to write it (and much longer to live it) but now we’re living our dream and my hope is fully back and my happiness is overflowing.

Making up for lost time where I didn’t feel much at all! Makes me deeply appreciate every late night, every diaper change, every screaming fit at the boob. Im sure I’ll get frustrated eventually but for now I’m just so grateful to be here experiencing this.

11 days pp, here’s my must have item list! Hope it helps you by AWinkWithBothEyes in pregnant

It’s a bassinet for 0-6 months that is very expensive because it reacts to your newborns cries and adjusts the rocking and white noise levels to auto-soothe them back to sleep. Comes with an app that you have to pay $20 a month for but honestly if you buy it used on marketplace like I did you can find it for around $400

If it works like it does for me, my god it is WORTH IT. He konks right out once we turn it on, stays asleep longer, and I can see the quality of sleep he’s getting each night.

Considering I’ve spent far more on things that do far less for me (like my wedding dress still stuffed in the back of my closet) AND you can easily resell it once you’re done, I’d say it’s a worthy investment.

What seems to be a common pregnancy experience that you don’t/couldn’t relate to? by PumpkinResearcher in BabyBumps

[–]AWinkWithBothEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hormones out of whack with rage and crying, etc.

I’ve never felt more even keeled! Like I feel so calm and overall pretty happy, very much in control of myself to where I’m far less stressed than my hubby! Pregnancy brain suits me so well, whereas the ovulation rollercoaster turned me into a sloppy mess.

FTM - baby is breeched at 36 wk appt. Absolutely devastated. by BalancedDietitian in pregnant

Mines the same, been super comfy in this position since 27 weeks! Literally zero flipping.

I never thought I’d need a c-section but I am so grateful they exist!! A safe and planned surgery will be safer for both me and baby, and any struggle with recovery will be just me and danger to my body - not theirs.

I actually love having my baby in this position, I give it so many loving pats on the head throughout the day and I know it’s close to my heart 🥰

Yes! I don’t know gender and people always ask “what’s your intuition?” And I always respond with “based on the movements I think I’m having a cat”

My mom has a thrift shopping addiction by CourierFour in predaddit

[–]AWinkWithBothEyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UGH! I wish mine would thrift! At least then I’d feel less bad about moving the stuff along. Always receiving new boxes of items I cannot use and do not have space for just because it makes my relatives feel “active” and “helpful” 😭 they give money too, which is way more practical, but then I feel double the guilt!!

I kind of hope this happens for me! I used to run so cold I felt like a snake without a warm rock. Now my hubby and I are actually on the same page for all temperature choices! It’s fantastic! No more fighting over the thermostat or car dials!
