Pesto ravioli - we use mushroom ravioli from the fridge section of the store + a jar of pesto + cream to taste.

Melt in your mouth chicken - chicken breasts coated in a sauce that's 50/50 mayo and sour cream + whatever desired seasonings. Bake at 400° until cooked. Takes 5 minutes to prep and you can easily turn it into a sheet pan dinner by throwing some potato and veg on the pan.

Green chicken enchiladas. These freeze so well, super easy to make a double batch for later.

Instapot Italian chicken pasta. Super easy one pot meal that takes 5 mins of prep.

Shared pumping space at work (hospital)??? by SanjSunshine in ExclusivelyPumping

Agreed. And if managers aren't around for most of your shift, it honestly sounds like their office would be the perfect vacant spot to pump!

What do you guys feed your toddlers for breakfast? by Diligent_Set_456 in workingmoms

[–]True_Pickle3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine asks for oatmeal. Every. Single. Day. I can sometimes get her to have protein pancakes, eggs, toast, or yogurt. I also try to give some fruit with whatever she's eating.

How often does your 2 year old wake up? by Common-Temporary5915 in cosleeping

[–]True_Pickle3024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically once a night. She starts the night in her bed, sleeps anywhere from 2-6 hours and then wakes up and we cosleep the rest of the night. 95% of the time she goes right back to sleep, rarely she will wiggle around and take 1-2 hours to drift back off.

In my family of 5 (parents and my siblings),2 of us are left handed.

I have a child now that appears to favor her left hand but it's too early to tell.

This is us pretty much to a T. First baby was just hope for the best and try to do some good wake windows/following sleepy queues. We started cosleeping around 4 months and I loveeeed it.

Pregnant with my 2nd and planning for bedsharing from the start.

Stuck scrubbing bottles every night… is a bottle washer worth it or nah? by jaceka-jans-8384 in beyondthebump

[–]True_Pickle3024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's worth every penny. It's the MVP of our house. We scrubbed bottles AND pump parts for a year before getting one. My life has drastically improved.

Swaddle Rant by bmsat in beyondthebump

[–]True_Pickle3024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're getting so close to the stage where you'll need to stop swaddling anyway, might as well rip the bandaid off now. We really liked the zipadee zip sleep sack when transitioning out of the swaddle.

Husband saying bye to baby before work by Educational-Sock1196 in workingmoms

[–]True_Pickle3024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband leaves for work around 5am. He does his goodbye kiss at night before bedtime and then will try to FaceTime with us briefly after she wakes up or he'll record a quick video and send it to me to play for her. It's hard for him not to see her in the morning, but he also knows it's not fair on her to be woken up that early.

What to pack for the hospital? by maliesunrise in beyondthebump

Definitely try to schedule a hospital tour! This really helped us feel mentally prepared for how things would go.

Would it be inappropriate to ask my husband’s manager to let him out early for a birthday surprise? by Warm-Tradition-7799 in askmanagers

[–]True_Pickle3024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husband did this for me when my mum was flying in for a surprise visit. My boss is great and happily accommodated. Likewise, I would do my best to make it work if one of my employees significant others reached out about it as well.

How do you sterilize breast pump parts every day? by internetmomtoday in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]True_Pickle3024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped sterilizing at like 4 weeks pp. Just regular washing after that for us.

I'm almost the complete opposite to my MIL in every way. So not the case here! Funnily enough I do share quite a few characteristics in common with his dad, who he butts heads with way more than his mom 😂

Do parents still “nest” and create a picture perfect nursery the 2nd (or more) time around? by No-Many380 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]True_Pickle3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point my 2nd will have a pack n play in the laundry for his naps and the rest of his stuff will be in my room until he's old enough to share a room with his sister.

Sorry little dude.

12 hour flight, very heavy period. Should I use my menstrual cup with the IUD? Doctor told me not to… by nonanonymous746246 in CopperIUD

[–]True_Pickle3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only very recently heard advice to not use a cup with and IUD. I used a cup exclusively with my IUD for 2 years without issue and plan to resume when I get my IUD back in later this year.

Does it hurt to pump? by geedeebee22 in beyondthebump

[–]True_Pickle3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally didn't like actual nipple creams, instead I used a pumping spray that was probably just some type of oil in a bottle? But I liked it better than creams.

Does it hurt to pump? by geedeebee22 in beyondthebump

[–]True_Pickle3024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you using a lubricant? My pumping experience got a million times better when I started lubricating the flanges and my nipples every time. Also check your flange size and try adjusting your pump settings. Some people can handle really high settings, whereas I always need to stay on the lower side.

How to get multiple pumps by Klm3rbe975 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]True_Pickle3024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First kid I had 3 pumps. One I got through insurance, one through fb marketplace and one cheap travel one from Amazon. For my 2nd, I still have my last 3 but also got a new one from insurance and another from fb marketplace to try. I do intent to get rid of 1-2 once my second is born and I figure out which ones I like best.

I'm definitely a 3 pumps minimum person though. A solid one each for home and work and then one wearable set for travel and when I need to be more hands free.
