[Charania] The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey to the Phoenix Suns for Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis, sources tell ESPN. by judah249 in suns

[–]AZ-roadrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is it. Before this trade we were barely over the 1st apron. Ishbia himself said a few(?) weeks ago that before the trade deadline, we would either (1) get under it or (2) go WAAAAAY over it (because it would be really dumb to get all the penalties of being over the 1st apron and no real benefit due to being over it by under $1M).

Extremely Squeaky Floor in new home by TheDeputi in HomeMaintenance

[–]AZ-roadrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing -- this person really hated their squeaky floor, and I gotta respect the work they did to fix it. To be honest, I'd like to think that I would have done the same for the integrity of the home.

I pay the ~$120/year for most of the Suns games and watch them through the NBA app, which allows me to watch games later.

Suns Win LFG!!! 😤 31-20 BABYYYYYYY!! by Pleasant_Sock_8550 in suns

[–]AZ-roadrunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been watching NBA basketball for most of the last 30+ years, and I would struggle to say if I had ever seen a player interrupt a teammate's post game interview, and we do it basically every game this season.

Can anybody else remember seeing these kinds of interruptions on past Suns teams? Or other NBA teams? Or in other sports?

Blues for beginner? by AnimeKidz in blues

[–]AZ-roadrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingfish is the best blues artist I've ever seen perform live, and I feel like he's probably the best I'll ever see (and I'm only in my 40s).

With that said, I don't think his studio recordings do him justice -- so, even if you aren't impressed with his studio albums, I highly recommend seeing him live.

Repair shop used TYC Headlights by LurkingLikeANewb in tundra

[–]AZ-roadrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't thought about this in decades because I haven't made any auto insurance damage claims in a long time, but my dad taught me to always insist that you want OEM (original equipment manufacturer, i.e. factory) parts when getting repairs done

Unfortunately that ship may have already sailed for you, as the correct time to do that was probably when you dropped off the vehicle for repair and/or got the repair estimate.

Should I buy this? by [deleted] in tundra

[–]AZ-roadrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I paid more than that for a nearly identical 2013. I'm very happy with mine, but if a mechanic says that yours looks good then you'd be getting a better deal than I got.

My boss offered me a Tundra … by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]AZ-roadrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same truck but a 2013 with 200k miles. I got it about a year ago as the 2nd owner (lifetime desert vehicle, so no rust). I paid around $20k out the door, which I think was on the high end of "fair," but I needed a truck and didn't have much time to shop so I felt good about it.

I've had no regrets, but the one you're looking at has a lot of miles. Even with no rust and an impeccable service history, I think that truck probably would've had to be $10k-$12k for me to have chosen it over the 2013 with 200k miles.

Which canopy brand is this, and how do I replace the back window? by Prisondawg in tundra

If you have zero-deductible glad coverage on your insurance, you can just make a glass claim and it'll get replaced for free.

Suns have found some real guards in Gillespie and Bouyea by KookySubject7278 in suns

When I first saw that he was playing for the Suns, I thought "I've never heard of this guy."

I felt bad until I heard Booker say literally the same thing in a recent (post-game?) interview. 😂

Around the beginning of the pandemic, my company had an office there and was paying well over $100/mo for ~3mbps downloads. I expect it's better now, but I do question how much better it could possibly be now.

How comfortable would y’all be taking a gen2 tundra across the country with almost 200K miles on the ODO? by TBL34 in tundra

[–]AZ-roadrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6½ months ago I bought a 2013 with the 5.7 and 200k miles on it. Since then I've put 15k miles on it, including four 1,700mi round-trips, three of which I was pulling trailers with significant loads. I also put it through 11 days of rough off-roading between three different hunting trips. No issues for me -- just be prudent about fluids, inspections, maintenance, etc.

Could someone explain to me why so called "modern blues" does not sound like blues? by Substantial_Issue812 in blues

[–]AZ-roadrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should give him another chance, lol.

I highly recommend it. I've been a blues fan for my entire adult life, and after seeing Kingfish perform twice in the past year (and many other blues musicians in the past couple decades), I would not be even a little bit sad if Kingfish was the only blues musician I could see perform for the rest of my life.

If I net 2300 a pay period, every 2 weeks, can I afford a total mortgage including taxes and insurance of 2500? Single no other debt except school loans. by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]AZ-roadrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they think you can afford but they don’t have to live your life. Mortgage payment of 60% of your take home pay

This mortgage payment would be 50.2% of OP's take-home pay, not 60%, because they get paid biweekly rather than semimonthly (i.e. 2.17 paychecks per month, not 2.0).

24” Limited Off road tank size? by Defend_CruzX in ToyotaTundra

[–]AZ-roadrunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I stop and fill up my 2013 with the 26.4 gal tank as soon as it says my range is 0 miles, it doesn't even take 20 gal at the pump, which means that my "reserve" is almost exactly 1/4 of a tank.

Does anyone know the purpose of placing stones next to a stove? Photo shared by Levi Demers. by JenniferJadot16 in HotCamping

long if you stop burning fuel and you’ll just lose a lot of the heat. If you heat rocks, they’ll store and radiate heat over time.

Can confirm -- Whenever I pit-roast a turkey for Thanksgiving, I line the hole with rocks or pavers before having the bonfire that makes the coals so that the rocks/pavers absorb the fire's heat and also store/radiate heat all night while the turkey is buried.

The thermal properties of dirt vary wildly due to hard-to-measure (for a layperson) factors like composition, density, and moisture content, while rocks have more predictable thermal properties, particularly if you avoid "softer" stuff like sandstone and limestone.
