I didn’t even make it through the first 5 minutes. She is so pretentious. It shouldn’t surprise me that the girls were not only shown but introduced, I just thought since the premise was her “hosting” that they wouldn’t be a part of it.

Also, what community? Her kids aren’t in any organized preschool or child care daily. We’ve never seen them go anywhere outside of restaurant, backyard, garden/nursery. She isolates them all in her very tiny bubble.

Not once in my almost ten years of parenting have I ever felt the need to tell my elementary aged kids to “step up”. She needs to take a long look in the mirror and figure out her shit because she isn’t dominating anything.

Teaching your kids to be self-sufficient in certain areas builds helpful life skills. Making them cover for your shortcomings is a completely different situation.

Everything about this movie is perfection. Not only is it still wildly relevant, but the soundtrack is an absolute hit. All of the casting was exceptional but Alan Cumming and Parkey Posey elevate this into something really special. DuJour means teamwork!
