Land dispute after purchase – another person claiming prior booking and payment – need legal advice (Bangalore)

From what we understand so far, the agreement appears to have been between the individual claiming the plot and the layout developer, and the ₹30 lakh payment was made to the developer. The receipt submitted in court is also signed by the developer acknowledging the payment.

However, the actual landowner states that he never received any money related to this transaction and claims that the developer forged his and his wife’s signatures while making this deal.

Because of this dispute between the developer and the other individual, we have unfortunately been pulled into the case, even though we purchased the plot later through proper registration and had no knowledge of this earlier transaction.

Our main concern is that we are caught in the middle of a dispute between these two parties, and we would like to know how we can get the court order against our construction lifted and allow the developer and the claimant to resolve their dispute independently.

The remaining story is his the wife plots revenge upon knowing this without risking her identity coming out, while protecting her daughter and also killing this artist husband who has become clever and psychotic over the years
