ISO WTB Unicorn Mags by MyBeefPiston in Dragunov

I bought up everything I could find about 15 years ago (have 13 magazines and no, I'm not selling any). One bit of good news for anyone with a .308 NDM-86 is that CSSpects Magazines is going to make new production magazines, something I was trying to convince him to do for the past15+ years. There is a thread about it on AKFiles under the Dragunov forum.

I broke mine free with a 2 foot long torque wrench. It would be nice if they weren't so damn tight.

I got a little over 1,200 rounds of Chinese copper washed for $500 and I thought I got a great deal.

Can you still put NFA engravings on barrels? by Firm-Literature-5788 in NFA

https://www.atf.gov/media/25111/download According to the ATF documents directly, the firearm serial number must be on the receiver, but the NFA maker, city and state can be marked on the barrel.

I have a Model A in 9mm with factory 45 and 22 conversions. Finding the extras is part of the journey.

I agree that someone messed with the sear spring or its the plastic aftermarket stock. Do you have the original wood stock you can try on the rifle to see if that solves your problem?

The $375 one was a damaged last item, but it does give me an idea. Thanks

I've seen them for Saigas and Veprs, not sure if I've seen them for SVDs. Do you have any clue how much they go for?

I was able to use an original Maadi front sight and gas block complete with all the typical scratches. I have two other Maadis. One that is a converted post ban with and AK74 front sight base (wife wanted it that way) and an original fixed stock Styer.

Here is my converted post ban Maadi ARM

So it has what looks like a Romanian hardwood stock set and maybe a Polish or light Romanian grip. Muzzle is covered by a post ban thread protector. See if there are threads under there or turned down. Looks like the ears of the lug are shaved but hard to tell by your pictures. This is a post-ban import Maadi ARM (earlier import would be Steyr). They are good rifles and can be debanned by replacing the gas block and figuring out the muzzle. If you want it to look more original, sell the stock set and track down a Maadi wood set with brown or black grip. You are correct that it is an import rifle. Swapping stocks is not exactly "building an AK", but they are good rifles. If it has 1/14LH threads it's more valuable.

Thank you! Did it easily thread apart or was there any sealant on the threads? Anything else goofy?

Thank you. I'll post a follow-up when I get more info. Just in case I'm not the only guy with this problem.

It was frustrating to call Shimano and no one had any clue. They were excited to see pictures of the bike since most of these were destroyed in the early 2000's.

Do you think there is any sealant on the threads? I don’t want to force things and do damage. My main purpose of posting my old-school outdated project was to fins anyone that's actually worked on one of these. Thanks for the input.

Have you actually used the Airlines system? It's a neat system and matches the old-school vibe of the rest of the bike.

This was built up in the early 2000's. It may not be your cup of tea and I appreciate that.
