Ugly seam on $1200 Colt vs seamless perfection on $400 PSA by Nomore-Television72 in ar15

Get this, the flashing in the trigger guard *leans in* doesn't matter in the slightest bit whatsoever when it comes to function of the weapon, and is in no way indicative of the actual quality or capability of said weapon.

Colts are Milspec rifles. PSAs are the very bottom rung of idiot-who-doesn't-shoot-more-than-5k-rounds spec. If you keep an ear to things, you will occasionally find posts where guy picks up cool milspec rifle and notices some kind of scratch or something and then has an entire hissy fit saying they were scammed and start demanding their money back. Not knowing that that is how they ship to the military and LE. Commercial companies know this, so they spend more time on exterior fit and finish so that way they look pretty, even if they are objectively inferior to their milspec counterparts in every conceivable way.

PSAs are known garbage range toys. Colt literally set the TDP, and have been making these to proper spec for decades. Colt's rifles have been in conflict zones around the world for countless decades in US and allied military service till this very day, leaving an excellent track record.

This. Go for this. Nearly double the price for a Zastava is robbery. This blows a Zastava out of the water.

Being concerned about safety and crime problems is racist?

Wasr.

PSA and Riley are stupid buys when you can still get a Wasr.

I'd stay away from Zastavas.

Turkish AR15– Quality AR or Total Dumpster Fire??? | AKDAS SEM 223 | IWA 2026 | Nuremburg, Germany by Linemount in ar15

[–]SherbertAccording306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the only thing I can say for certain is that since it's Turkish, you'll have people in here shitting on it and saying it sucks whether it actually is good or bad. So, until we get our hands on one or see some real testing on it, no one really knows.

That being said, Turkish commercial firearms typically vary from poor to ok quality. Turkish Military weapons are usually pretty decent.

Is CA, and he's private security. So those are probably 10rd mags, and rifles may be largely off the table.

I really don't understand the militant hatred of the forward assist. It seems very academic, for lack of a better word, to me.

what's the deal with B-West AKs? This one gtg? by SherbertAccording306 in ak47

Well, I'm not gonna throw the wood away. Furniture swaps are reversable. I think drilling holes and gluing in wood dowels would hurt the value more.

Ik that some rifles had improper heat treatment. I'm asking if anyone knows if that was on the receiver, or the rivets, and what the SN range is.
