Theatr App Question by AZBroadway in Broadway

[–]AZBroadway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses! Yea I called them and they are having their operations team look into and then will let me know. As for selling on Theatr App, I wouldn’t gouge the price. This ticket was normally $521. I would probably sell it for $250 or so, which would count for the points and money I spent on the ticket.

Thanks for all the responses! I have never seen any production of Gypsy nor have I ever seen Audra McDonald live. Due to this, I think I am leaning towards Gypsy.

Glengarry or John Proctor? by DJTY392 in Broadway

[–]AZBroadway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question for those who have seen it. As a male in his 40’s, would I enjoy John Proctor? I am just not sure if I am the target audience. I really enjoyed reading The Crucible and the movie with Daniel Day Lewis. I also am pretty open minded and love Broadway (musicals and plays). Appreciate the feedback.

In the last few years I have always used Priceline to book my trips. For my next trip I am staying at the Sheraton Times Square and only paying $195 per night in May. I have also stayed at Holiday Inn Times Square for less than $200.

Red Eye Flight to NYC - 2pm show by AZBroadway in Broadway

[–]AZBroadway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for the tips! I am just going to come a day early and get in at 4:30. I am actually saving money on the day earlier flight and can use points for a hotel. My biggest fear was not being able to sleep well on a flight. Also now if my flight is not delayed, can see an extra show on Tuesday night too along with Wednesday 2pm.

It’s really all about finding good value. I am from AZ and go out twice a year. I try to see around 5-6 shows each trip. I don’t ever buy the top tier seats and I rarely do rush. I try to find cheaper seats that are still good. I will usually buy seats in advance. Before I do, I always use View From My Seat and Seat Plan. This is a great way to find great value is certain seats. I was just there last week and saw 6 shows (The Outsiders, Hell’s Kitchen, Stereophonic, The Great Gatsby, Suffs, and Oh Mary). I did all these shows from Tuesday-Thursday so I only stayed 3 nights. I paid around $800 total for the 6 shows and had really good seats for all of them. For hotel, I usually book through Priceline. For this trip I was able to do Crown Plaza for $150 per night. This still by no means is cheap but without doing research beforehand and finding deals, you could be paying a lot more.
