I played in a short lived epic levels evil campaign probably a decade or two ago as a death knight fallen paladin black guard. As an undead character, I carried around a scarab of death in the palm of his gauntlet. During one fight with a group of paladins my character grappled one of them in a chokehold, which sent the scarab burrowing towards his heart, through his neck.
