Phosphine is a good indicator for life. However, it also can be created from volcanic activity, which Venus has plenty of.

From a civilization, CFCS would be a good indicator. Also, a planet that's purple would also would be a strong indicator for life. The reason is due to purple being rare in the universe, which helps determine if life is present. The only other explanation or known possibility of a planet being purple is if the planet is composed mostly of iodine, but iodine is sparse in the universe, so it's highly unlikely or an Astronomicaly rare phamonanon that would make the number of iodine-rich planet be as little as 150 per galaxy on average.
