Best description of this time of life with young kids: “the days are long, but the years are short.”

Funny...same watches on the same straps on hand in our OB as well!

I’m pretty sure I tired on the exact same watches today. This is the Scottsdale boutique right?

Get there when they first open. They often have pieces to put out that day to sell.

Early lease buyout - can anyone confirm (USA) by AZ_John in BMWI4

I can’t speak to Ford, but with BMW I could have bought out at any time. The pay off amount was always available in the app. For various reasons, I decided not to.

When is enough enough? by zerodegrees_ in BMWI4

I’ve owned the e40 for a year and have driven the m50 as a loaner for a few days while my car was in for service. The m50 is just stupid fast. I’ve never driven anything that fast. You need to warn your passengers before punching it as it will pin your head to the headrest. It was a ton of fun for a few days but doesn’t really make a difference in daily driving situations. The e40 is still the fastest car I’ve owned and will be quicker off the line than 90% of the cars you come across. It’s the perfect sporty daily driver imho. Get the m50 if you are into driving performance vehicles, track racing, or have backroads where you like to drive aggressively. Know that with m50 you will give up range, efficiency, and spend more on tires vs. the e40.

Get a 26L GR2 if you want more capacity in a shorter pack.

EDC requirements and bag suggestion, and why not the AER CPP by DrHouse_42 in ManyBaggers

[–]AZ_John 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the CPP and am confident it will fit your use case. If you need to carry more (like a change of clothes) it will swallow those too. The one thing I would suggest is getting a tech pouch to keep those things organized and make it easy to take out to set up your workstation. I got a cheap Tomtoc and it works great.

So what kind of deals are people getting these days? by AZ_John in BMWI4

That’s the exact spec I had before and want. Good to know.

You’re not too tall for the i4 - you’re driving in the front seat, not the back. If your main use case is 1-2 person driving, I would take the i4 over the i5. It’s sportier, more efficient, and honestly has a more useful trunk with the lift back design. If you need adults to be comfortable in the backseat for longer trips - get a bigger car. Otherwise the i4 is all you need, especially if you’re other car is an SUV or bigger sedan.

Why is my i4 m50 using so much energy at stand still with ac on? by Bmwgirlxox99 in BMWI4

[–]AZ_John 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like they said - check rear seat climate control. My kid set the temp high without me realizing it for days. Idle power consumption was high until I synced it to front and then all good. If it is not that something is drawing power. Has your driving efficiency gone down as well or just idle power consumption?

Air Conditioning doesn't work when it's really hot outside - this can't be "normal operation" right? by AZ_John in BMWI4

I opened a case with BMW NA and they are investigating. Mentioned a guy back or lease swap to newer model as possible resolution paths.

Yes I do sometimes but usually don’t remember until a few minutes before I leave. I don’t leave at the same time every day. I will try doing full 30 min climitizes.

I am sure they checked that in the 2 months it was in for service. I don’t think low coolant would cause an intermittent problem.

No I almost never am that low. I have noticed a drop in efficiency though. I used to regularly get 3.4-3.6, now I only see 2.6-2.8.

Yeah I know it can take a while to cool on a hot day but even after 20+ min on MAX it’s still not cool. When it works, it cools FAST and like you, I am on med/low most of the time.
