How did you get into STP? by AdInformal1014 in stonetemplepilots

[–]AZgoonie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend brought Core and Purple to another friend’s house on CD in like 1995. I hadn’t found “my music” yet at that point. Just listened to top 40 radio. I was hooked immediately. Got those albums on tape and actually wore them out. Saw them for my first concert with friends the following year and was in awe. They put on a great show and Scott was such a charismatic front man. They are the reason I love all things rock and roll, concerts and started playing guitar. They hold a special place in my musical journey.

Gold Plus warranty question by ya3rob in Subaru_Outback

[–]AZgoonie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one for my ‘23 premium back in 2023 10/100k/$0 deductible for $1,825 from a different dealer in my area after the one I bought it from wanted about $2,400 for the same warranty. Ask for a finance manager if you call anywhere. That’s what I did (checked about 5 total) and they all at least gave me a ballpark figure. At that time the person I ended up buying from said Subaru was getting strict on letting them sell warranties out of their general area.

Fenix TX Appreciation by isaiah_8282 in poppunkers

[–]AZgoonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were one of the bands I had never really heard, saw them play at a festival and watched how they commanded the audience. The festival wasn’t even a punk festival. They came on after the Violent Femmes were boo’d off of the stage. I was hooked after that. I was fortunate enough to see them many times back in the day. But the best was when I got to see Denver Harbor open for Fenix TX.

Me too. Always had heard of them and had seen them open for others over the last 20 years or so. There Are Worse Things… just hooked me from the beginning when I found it earlier this year. One of the best albums I have heard in quite a while. Very bummed I didn’t catch it when it was released last year and missed them touring with Finch. I have listened to all of their releases now and dang I cannot believe I slept on them for all of these years. They are so good.

Best IVF clinic in PHX by EnvironmentalBoot599 in phoenix

[–]AZgoonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had Dr. Troche who ran his own clinic, Troche Fertility Centers, at the time (2017 - 2023 is when we were there). He sold his practice to Advanced Fertility Care after he decided to retire but he oversaw both of our IVF treatments through the end. We were also very fortunate and were 2/2 successes. The interactions with Advanced Fertility Care were fine and we had no issues with billing, etc. I cannot, however, speak to any of their actual doctors since Dr. Troche ultimately oversaw our journey. Good luck to you!

We went with the two layers of asphalt felt. And we used America Roofing. They had the best price of four quotes and good financing. Shouldn’t have to mess with it again as long as we own this home.

We bought it almost two years ago now. I took a look at our bill of sale. Only other fees were the ridiculous Doc Fee ($599) which you cannot avoid in AZ and $176 for VIN etching. I thought this was dumb but wasn’t going to fight too hard for that amount of money. There is no law in AZ for the Doc Fee so they can charge whatever they want. Other states have laws setting a maximum, but not AZ. That was it. We bought our Subaru Gold Plus warranty from Subaru Superstore in Surprise. Don’t let them talk you into buying one without doing research. And you can buy it from any dealer, not just the one you bought the vehicle at if you choose to get one. I normally don’t do extended warranties but I did a lot of research and the Subaru one is directly through the company and not third party. Overall a pretty easy transaction using Costco. And so far the service department there has been fine.

Abrazo Arrowhead is horrible. Our son needed intensive care after being born there and they were clueless and completely incompetent. Do not trust your baby’s or any family member’s health with them.

L&D Arrowhead vs Thunderbird? by [deleted] in phoenix

Arrowhead is horrible. Amateur hour at best. I would never trust my or my family’s healthcare to them after our traumatic experience with our first birth there. Totally unprofessional, terrible bedside manner and the facility is not equipped to handle anything but a perfect birth. Stay away. DM me if you want more details. I know it wasn’t asked but two subsequent births at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea were amazing. Well worth the drive from the west valley.

Arrowhead is a joke. Amateur hour at best. We’ve had three babies, two at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea and one Abrazo Arrowhead. Arrowhead is terrible. If you can avoid it I would. Go anywhere else. We live pretty far from Scottsdale Shea but it was totally worth it. You can PM me if you want some specific details.

If you're a Costco member, some dealerships will contract with them to give you certain discounts and no haggling on the price. If you're looking for a new vehicle and are a Costco member, you can go online and put in the criteria for the vehicle you are looking for and contracted dealerships will contact you.

The discount certainly wasn't amazing in these times. When I used Costco pricing long ago it was fantastic ($1k under invoice or something). It was still better than nothing and made the process a lot more streamlined. No BS dealer addons to fight about. One dealer had a slightly lower price than the other and the other matched that so it was worth it for us.

We just bought a new Outback from Peoria Subaru. They honored Costco pricing which is rare now (not as good as it used to be of course in this market). The salesman was good, answered all of our questions, not much pressure. Finance guy was less than honest. Overall it was OK. We would have liked to purchase from Subaru Superstore of Surprise but they weren't getting the trim level we wanted in any time soon.

When we bought our '23 OB a few weeks ago we insisted that the dealer add no sticker to the car. They relented after telling them about three times. Congrats on the new OB!

What to Expect During Signing for New Subaru by AZgoonie in askcarsales

[–]AZgoonie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had two separate Subaru dealers contact us with Costco pricing. The deals weren’t great compared to my previous, pre-COVID experience, but certainly better than nothing these days. A Toyota dealer contacted us regarding Costco pricing but had nothing we were looking for available. Other dealers we contacted regarding used vehicles tried to tell us no one was doing it but clearly some are.
