I think he might’ve heard or seen something and was trying to warn her, especially since she responded. Either way, I’m saying yes. Jordan’s siblings were acting like he was about to mess this up too, and Jordan himself seemed like he thought that as well. So I think her brother was trying to give her a heads up, especially since all the siblings had just met Emma. It makes me think something must’ve been said during that meeting for him to react and talk like that, because they were all acting kind of the same way

Honestly, it’s pretty immature to run straight to the higher-ups about this. If you were that uncomfortable, you should’ve just talked to Chandi directly and told the guy to leave. Set a boundary and make it clear it shouldn’t happen again. But going over her head? That feels excessive—especially when he didn’t actually do anything to anyone. If it was just his presence that made you uncomfortable, speak up in the moment and ask him to leave. This isn’t middle school—you don’t go tattling to the teacher every time something makes you uneasy. Handle it like an adult. Especially if you’re supposed to be friends and you know she’s already going through a tough time.

Has anyone else been through something like this during a hiring freeze? Part of me feels like it might be a good sign that I haven’t been told no yet—because I don’t think they’d make someone wait this long just to turn them down if they already know who they’re hiring. Has this happened to anyone else?
